If someone already started it I apologize, but I think Seymour's as deserving of his own "Thank You" thread as any other player we've said goodbye to this offseason.

Hard work and Hustle are the things I'll always think of with him... and I'll also remember that there were times when he was playing a HUGE role in a dominant defense, although the stats didn't fully reflect it. Most of us recognized this, though not all did - and it says a lot about a player when he's willing to give up stats for team success.

Thanks Richard. I hope Oakland breaks the bank for you in the next contract! (though once they do, try to tank it in 2010, OK?)

[NOW HOPEFULLY HE SHOWS UP IN OAKLAND AND THE TRADE CAN GO DOWN!]

Thanks Seymonster. The last defensive player from the 2001 team. And the best defender of the decade, at least. You will be missed.

Thanks, #93, for being a beast and for helping us all tell Ron Borges to $uck it.

Thanks Richard! Good luck in Oakland (except if you ever have to play the Pats).

Big Sey was a great player for the Pats, good luck in the future, hope you get the last big contract you are looking for.

Yeah, before oddly becoming Ron's replacement Bledsoe toadie. Thanks for the memories, just wish you had a thicker skin and could have become a real team leader and a franchise player. It's too bad it had to end this way. But this was never your hometown as you pointed out. Too bad Oakland is so far away from...South Carolina. But hey, it's a business as you so often reminded us...

Much respect for Seymour. I particularly like the way he was hammering McNabb in 39. 93 is forever a Pats legend.

Thanks. I know you seemed tired sometimes on the TV - being doubled and all.. but you hung in and often made great plays - thanks Richard!

Played hard, played smart and played hurt. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks Sey.

Classy player, and extremely classy man off the field.

Was proud to root for someone like Richard Seymour. Best wishes to you, your wife and those children, Richard.

You'll be missed, but look forward to your induction ceremony at the Pats HOF in several years.

i have aways been a Richard Seymour fan since he was drafted (2001)

thanks for the memories and good luck

all the best # 93 !

grazie

Big (pun intended) reason why the Pats were able to win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. Thanks.

Thanks big Sey, sorry to see you go to such a crappy place, but in Bill we trust!

Thanks for the memories Big Sey. Good luck in the black hole.

Big Sey,
3 rings, five pro bowls, it's been a good run man. You got HOF cred.

Please don't sign with Jets, Colts, Bolts, Steelers next year. Pleeease!
Thank you for the memories. You got the job done like very few can!!

Thankyou Richard,, i always looked out for #93 when the Pats played. You were my son's hero in that defence and we both love you. We are all going to miss you. Thanks for the great memories. Take care and hope you get paid big by Al Davis, coz i know you will have an effect on that lousy team. God Bless you and your family. Abdul

Thanks, Seymour. We all know how big a part you played, down there in the trenches. And then there's the blocked field goals (that Miami game!)

Thank You Richard Seymour for all you did for the Patriots organization and I wish you all the best. I will miss you on our defense.
