I don't think that we are close to done. Obviously Belichick is looking into further trades. But in addition to that,

1) We need a backup QB.

2) The OL situation needs to worked out. We have two extra interior linemen and arguably one too few OT. Hopefully Simmons is healthy enough to be active soon.

3) We are short an ILB.

4) We seem to have an extra running back. :)

1. They can sign Feely or Huard.
2. Least of my worries
3. Could be their downfall if they lack depth
4. That's a good thing. Remember, they were down to Faulk and Green-Ellis for a few games last season. That was pretty damn scary.

ha ha you won't ever give up on #4.. did you know BB tried to claim yet another RB for the PS?

Always good to have a back up plan.....

This is a work in progress and there will probably be another QB on the roster by next Mon nite...

Have always trusted BB's judgement, but there is a lot that remains to be seen at this time.. D was our weakness last year, and had thought it was improved with lot of new pieces.. but now that Seymour is gone, less confident.

This is the economy of BB, there is a lot of money in the bank right now.

ILB is interesting as we do go 4-3 the whole ILB piece changes somewhat.

Guyton for example strikes me as a player who could be a better ILB in a 4-3

i put this on another thread - the patriots are stockpiling picks and making moves in anticipation of moving very aggressively on tim tebow next year. he is the prototypical bill belichick player and he would kill to have him.

I agree...... The obvious move to 4-3 as our base d minimizes the issue at LB (a lot). I am much less worried about depth there then I am about OL issues to be honest.

Is cocaine free where you live? ;)

Also, they still need to sign Richard Seymour's younger, less money-hungry clone.

What about no. 5?

Any chance we scoop up Kevin Cater? I didn't see him signing with another team yet. Is the 4-3/3-4 going to effect him?

This is my worry #s 1-4.

Going back to the end of 2007 the OL has not been doing a good job protecting Brady. They looked average last year and thus far do nothing to give me the confidence that in an offese that has all but sent a telegram to other teams that they'll primarilly be a passing offense (and why wouldn't they be?) that they can protect him well from an onslaught.

The "blueprint" for other teams is clear - pressure Brady - get to him if you can... beat him up.

The OL has done nothing to show me they're up to the task of protecting Brady at this point.

There's other concerns on the team too, but if they can't give Brady enough protection it's going to be a difficult season.
