On the face of things You apear to be correct, just doesen't feel right.

Why give up a pick when you could just pick up a cut player (Walter)?

I don't think the Jets could expect him to back up, with his lack of knowledge of the system and playbook. Maybe the Jets see him as a developmental OB.

I smell a trade.

I'll give T-Wrecks the benefit of the doubt on this one. KOC's style is much more like Sanchez that Brady, so he'll be a better fit there.

However, I reserve the right to change my mind should the Jets cut KOC right after week 2!

I'm thinking not. The Lions didn't consider him worth keeping, after all, and if the Jets were the only heavily interested party a trade wasn't going to happen. The Broncos stuff, as far as I can tell, is just one writer's conjecture that's getting repeated all over.
