Cut by Tampa from a strong defense, I wonder if he'd have any value to BB especially with Lenon and Crable gone. BB did draft him after all and I recall some here seeing some talent in Ruud...

And, (I can't resist) GARRETT MILLS has been cut by the Vikes!!! Talk about a binky, he was the favorite of many here.

No.

Saw talent in Redd not Ruud.

No chance, imo. I also think if BB felt we were thin at LB he would've kept Lenon. I could be wrong, maybe we'll pick up someone later today.

I'd like to see them take a look at Ryan Fowler. Part of the reason the Titans cut him was they didn't want to pay a lot for a back up. He's got to be better than Alexander.

Bingo, my man, bingo.

Wouldn't be shocked if they stayed put, more or less. Don't see Rudd in the equation.

It's not just about LINEBACKER...Alexander is a top ST player..They kept him more for that than his ILB play.
Ruud??? He never had much of a chance to play as he was injured in his year here..so it's hard to tell. My guess is that he will be on TB's P Squad..unless another team picks him up.
As for Mills??? At this point..who would one cut FOR him being on the 53?? Watson?? I really do not see what he adds, given the situation with the roster. There are bigger needs than TE/FB....OT and QB.

With the 4-3 more in vogue at Foxborough, what about Derrick Brooks? Have to believe that BB would be able to use him even if it was only nickel situations.

Is this BO or BARRETT?? I thought Bo was up in Cleveland...

I wish it was Barrett they cut, but no it was brother Bo...

Ruud could be added to Practice Squad but I doubt it.

I've been wondering the same thing about Brooks - the 4-3 is his element and he did make the ProBowl last year. Granted his inclusion in Hawaii was more on reputation than performance but his experience and leadership wouldn't hurt a team thinned at the top a bit. However, would he be better then Bruschi? Maybe a little, though I'd guess BB might have a hard time explaining how Brooks could fit on this team but not Bru. Plus, Brooks is too old to be a STer which the backup LB's usually are. It's just that Alexander as a backup for than a play or two is a frightening thought.

With Seymour gone now I think BB is purposefully opening the door for some young players to step forward and prove themselves as leaders as well as players. Wilfork is the biggest voice out there now and if BB's really going to show him the money then Big Vince best be ready to fill some of the void left by Harrison, Vrabel, Bruschi, and Seymour.

I wonder if Meriweather can be another one to emerge? He was a 1st round pick after all...

There are so many better options than re-signing Little Bo Not a Peep Ruud, that it should never, ever be a consideration. He was a terrible draft pick at the time it was made, and he has done less than nothing to dispel the Undraftable, low-priotity UDFA grade he carried.

I maybe wrong; but QB situation is what it is. If the starter goes down, you are screwed anyway. Same thing can be said of bolts, colts, steelers, giants, eagles, packers, all the contenders. You just have to hope your QB can stay healthy to contend.

No, I'd say he's done here.
