quick trigger finger!!!

Play well or be gone.

I think Pioli might have said "wait a little Bill."

Maybe Floyd Reese has a bigger impact than we all know.

Neither of them have any impact. The work FOR BB, and BB isnt letting someone else field his team

Who was supposedly given the quick hook, other than O'Connell?

Alex Smith.

The team brought in 2 tight ends to compete with those already on the team. One didn't work out. I don't see a problem there.

I don't either, just pointed out that with Smith BB didn't keep him around to see if he would improve. Hence, a qucik trigger finger.

Struggling in the preseason against 2nd, 3rd, and 4th team players would get you a quick trigger pull...especially when you are doing it in the 4th game against guys who probably are also cut.

Axed (how doesn't matter - they are gone)

Previous contributers: Vrabel, Hochstein, Britt, Yates.

Previous draft picks: Hobbs (3), O'Connell (3), Thomas (3), O'Callaghan (5), Smith (6) And Crable (How was Slater not IR'd and he was what a wimp - he's gone next year)

Last years Big Free Agent: Tank Williams

This years Relatively Big Free Agent: Paris Lennon, Vinnie Circulu, and Nathan Hodle

This team has a huge BB imprint (not to mention Brushci, Harrison, Colvin, Izzo, Paxton etc.

This team has been rebuilt right in front of our eyes, without the REBUILDING years.
From 16-0 to 11-5 with a backup QB (Cassel) to what 13 - 3 or better.

Alex Smith.

Alex Smith was given all of TC and 4 pre-season games to get into the program.. He couldn't do it.. So the Pats moved on. Besides, with the guys the Pats are adding to the Injured reserve, the Pats probably wanted to make sure they had the Cap space to do so.

Yes.. Crable is such a wimp. Tearing a groin muscle..

I don't think this has ever been different. BB just puts the best 53 on the team he can... each and every year

It's a credit to his talent as a coach that he doesn't let his own pride of where the player was drafted, signed for, traded for affect that final 53 decision. It's part of what makes the players who are always left over run through walls for him. They know, respect and appreciate the one and only rule:

Play hard, play well - and you make the team. If you don't you're gone

Yes I have been giggling about this since Pioli left town.

Remember when contracts and stuff got drawn out? Belichick doesn't care if the door hits their ass on the way out and what can I say I find that amusingly old school. (Not in a bad way, he respects his players, just mucho efficiency in decision making.)

Tank Williams was a big free agent?

I must have been sleeping!!!

Really? This years Relatively Big Free Agent: Paris Lennon, Vinnie Circulu, and Nathan Hodle

You clearly have no idea what a big free agent is. These guys were camp fodder, if they shocked or surprised then great. Lenon had a better chance than the rest, given he was the leading Lions tackler, but that isn't saying much.

It's a transition year, just the ebb and flow.

It is amusing to think Pioli used to stop the Turk..."Oh please Bill, give them one more chance!":D

Especially given how the Chiefs have been quick with the axe...

If you have been reading this board all of the above were lauded in posts. Tank Williams Threads and Posts were non-stop for a month.
Lennon was the next starting LB. Circulu was Izzo's replacement. They weren't my post they were members of this board. So, should I trust them or just you.

When ???? This year or last year? ZERO regular season games played. What maybe 4 PreSeason games? for maybe 20 plays.

Did he get the groin pull during football or at night.

Slater's arm snapped and he is on the 53.

I wanted Crable to be good. He's a dissapointment. Some players are always injured - sadly Crable is one.

I'd assume it happened during TC--you know, the 'relaxed' time when these guys are still probably training harder than you ever have in your entire life.

The proof of his "injury" will come out by next season. Teams have to be carefull of "cutting" players with claimed injuries.

If Crable is cut before next seasons camp then I am correct.

If he is cut after he starts practicing again (and can then claim another injury) then you are right.

Why did you get so personal. What nerve got hit. An earlier poster put his injury as a torn groin. Reese reported it as a groin injury.

I say he will never see the field again as a Patriot. We'll see.

As far as your shot at me . I'm a vet. What about you?
