Re: Releases are IN!

Only one shocker, and not even a big one. O'Callaghan

So the whole backup OL from last year is gone, except LeVoir, and he's on PUP?

Slater injury not as bad as it looked?

How the hell did Roderick Rogers make the team?!

Holy CRAP, good point. Perhaps to be cut later tonight or in the coming days once we make other moves?

I can't believe people thought the Pats wouldn't keep 5 RB's.

Same. What some people haven't realized yet is that we've kept 5 running backs for several years now. The only difference was that one of them used to be Heath Evans, FB.

People realized that a long, long time ago.

All right. You can colour me "astonished" at the to-ings and fro-ings at Tight End. We prefer Mathews (who has never practised with us) to Dave Thomas, for whom we only get a 7th rounder in a year's time (not even a bag of pretzels!) We don't even try to trade him to Philadelphia for Feeley ...

The rest more or less makes sense. Funny that Taylor goes to IR but Slater doesn't. Slightly surprised they're keeping Connolly over O'Callaghan, but we do need inside linemen. And Crable ... again!

So there we are. Congrats to Ninkovich. Commiserations to Nunn -- don't you dare go to the Jets or Dolphins! And well done Benny ...

Hmmm, carrying only 2 QBs comes as a bit of a surprise to me, and I’m very surprised that they went with 5 RB (with none able to play the Evans role), as well as both Connolly and Wendell. Wouldn’t be shocked if we see Morris, BJGE, Wendell or Connolly go in the next couple days, to make room for a QB. Is Matthews our fullback now, too? If this is the roster that we head into the season with, though, then I’m down with that.

My binkies were Ninkovich and McGowan, so I’m def. happy about that, plus glad to see Slater make the roster even with the injury.
