Great quotes Chris- I liked McGowan's and Chung's in particular. The first link doesn't seem to be working for me ATM though.

Belichick's last quote was great too. It must really suck to have to tell those last cuts that they didn't quite make it- hopefully it's a little easier to do this year, with Belichick knowing that KC and Denver will be lining up to take the guys that almost made the team.

Thanks! Link is fixed now -- should be the "10 Things..."

Chris, good work as always, except for one not-so-minor error: Slater's only choices at this point are 53 and IR, not PUP. :(

Great stuff, as always. Interesting perspective on Watson- I still hope to see him on the roster next week.

Good point -- that was my bad. It was late and my brain was foggy......;) Now fixed.

The first link forces iPhone to the mobile site which doesn't seem to have the "ten things" article...

The quarterback was clearly disgruntled about not playing in Thursday night’s preseason finale. Walter, who stood on the sidelines all game with his helmet on, was clearly ready to go all night. But in the locker room after the game, he wasn’t in the mood to chat. After explaining he “doesn’t make the decision about playing,” he deferred any questions to “the guys who played.”

Um...IS HE F-ing KIDDING?! Shut the F up, Walter, who the Hell do you think you are? If we weren't already thin there, I'd say cut him for having the freaking BALLS to act in any way entitled to ANYTHING. You're a piece of garbage JAG, who may just have secured a spot as the #2 in New England and you're b!tching about playing time? That is amazing to me. Cut him, go with Hoyer and sign a vet.

Chung sounded almost humbled in the post game interview. I do like the fact that he says he has a lot of work to do, though. Primarily, he was brought in to be a hard hitting safety so it's no suprise that he had some struggles as a cornerback. However, he is a rookie. He'll work some of those kinks out by the time he has to step into a regular season game. And remember that a safety's coverage duties are pretty different to those of a cornerback.
