Just made that change. Let me know if all of you like that any better

WAY better, they took up too much space at the top.

Looks great. I'd still like to see a link at the bottom of a message page that would lead to the forum that that message is in. It would speed things up and one wouldn't have to scroll back to the top of the page.

Thanks
Frezo

I think most of spend 99% of our time in this main forum anyway but once in awhile you scroll down and see something that catches your eye so that is now less likely to happen and those other forums will have even less activity.

Not saying that is good or bad, just what is likely to happen.

Thank you! Great idea.

Hated scrolling down.

I agree with this guy - once in a great while, I see something that catches my eye... however - I do like the change.

I thank you, kind sir. I thought you were going to put it in as an option but, obviously, this works great for me.

#1 board, top position. I like it.

I never even thought of that, Ian, but I love it.

Somehow, they are back up top....

I moved them back for a few minutes - I noticed one glitch that makes it where you can't view them on the main index so I'm going to troubleshoot that and will move them back once I figure out why they're not appearing there.

SO much better Ian! I agree about the forum links at page bottoms, too. That would rock.

There - now for registered users and "PatsFans.com Supporters" they're at the bottom. For guests they're at the top. The problem is changing that part of the code removes them from the first link set (where it says "PatsFans.com Forums" at the top) If you click on that it's blank underneath. So if you see that, that's the reason and there's no easy solution due to the condition set there. But I figured since the only ones now affected are people who already know how things work - it won't be an issue

Thank you once again for the effort, kind sir.

I also added another "New Thread" button and page navigation bar at the bottom before them to make things a little easier, and shortened the post list so you don't have to scroll as far to see the subforums for those who do like to keep up with and visit "Patriot Nation", the Draft Forum, etc. Obviously let me know if you have any other suggestions.

If we are using this thread for possible ideas, I have one. Is it possible to add an option to the response box that allows you to highlight, then click an icon that puts in the quote boxes. I hate to say this but they have this feature at jetsinsider.com.

It would make it easier to isolate exactly what you are responding to, especially in those lengthy point by point replies to long posts. Just a thought

I'd have to see an example - but I'm sure since they use the same software it can be done. Sean never activated my account over there, so I can't get in and as a result I can't test it and see what you're referring to.

Another possible minor tweak: strike through text.
