I'd like to see lots and lots of running plays. We need to improve our run-blocking as well as to evaluate our backup interior linemen.

Some moron created a thread on how useless tonight's game is. You shoud post there and tell the cretin that you personally have at least something you'd like to see. Just a suggestion.

Ted Bruschi needs to join the coaching staff. He can't play. He is the worst player in the field of either team.

He never made a play. He was in fake hussle mode all night. On the Guyton sack, he hot dogged on the back of Guyton trying to cheat a cheap assist.

He was in coverage of the 70 yard play by Coolly. He started to cover Coolly but gave up coverage as Coolly easily overran him.

I'd like to see Ian purge the membership of all the worthless posters so the forum wouldn't endlessly crash on gameday.

.....slow down danny-boy.....I don't think tedy will see a lot of playing time...however,that cooley pass was NOT his fault. He was in zone coverage and passed him off to the safety.......probably Meriweather.....who was also being talked to by the DB coach, right after this play.

That was a blown coverage, all the way.

Obviously your understanding is that the only way to secure information on players is a nationally televised circus called a preseason game. belichick used to get as much out of managed scrimmages with the gaints.

And given that the team is forced to have the preseason games (to sell TV time), Belichick might as well get all he can out of it.

If you don't think the patriots would be better off with as few perseason games as possible, then theat is your opinion. The patriots have less to gain from any week of preseason than any team in the league, and more to lose.

The Pats were in a zone coverage on the Cooley reception and Bruschi clearly thought he had help over the top.

Also, I think its a friggin insult on your part to claim Bruschi was in "fake hustle mode" all night. I guess I should add that to the growing list of things that you don't understand about football. Bruschi wast doing his best on every play tonight.

That being said, it could be very possible that Bruschi gets cut or only sees time on the kick coverage unit.. He was over-matched on most plays against the 1st and even 2nd team offense of the Redskins.

The Pats will have to eat $600k if they do cut him.

Bruschi didn't have a great game.. BUT there's always one rotten apple in the bunch..and I smell IT miles away..stinking rotten..big smelly and brainless... My friend.. YOU seem to have a personal agenda.. TAKE it elsewhere...

It may or may not be time for Bruschi to retire. In any case, the cap savings would be his $1.9M salary less the cap amount of the player who replaces him on the 53-man roster. If that player costs $400K, the net savings is about $1.5M

That being said, I don't expect Bruschi to be cut for cap savings. For me, he is well worth having on the roster as was the grizzled vets like Pleasant we had on the staff at the end of their careers.

Bruschi's cap hit is currently 2.6 Million. Cutting Bruschi frees up 2 million with 600K going to the person who takes his space on the roster.

The reality is that Bruschi hasn't been effective as a 4-3 MLB. He doesn't have the sideline to sideline speed that is required..

I love Bruschi. His was the 1st jersey that I got. And its sad to see him outplayed the way he's been outplayed.

The Pats may keep him but, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't other than as an assistant coach.

Love the guy but he's done. The 72 yard pass play did it for me, although poor safety backup was a major contributor. I'd like to see the $2M spent extending Big Wilf.
