Gunnails, you're a respectful member of the opposition. Can you let us know? Is he going to mean trouble for the Pats line? Is he going to justify that high pick?

Re: Gholston starting tonight

You spelled "sucking" wrong in your title....

Re: Gholston starting tonight

Considering how poorly he has been playing against second and third stringers, I can only wonder how he will be doing starting.

Ghost will present no problem, He is showing nothing as of yet.

There is still a chance a light will turn on, but it hasn't yet.

DRob will turn out to have been a better draft pick then Ghoulston.

Re: Gholston starting tonight

So far he looks like wasted potential. He's got the tools but not the fire.

He seems to be over thinking the game and not reacting to it.

Most rushers have a move, a spin or a shuck, something, Ghost has no move other then the bull rush. I did notice him doing a decent job of sealing the edge against the run last Monday.

Ummm . . . why are you talking about Gostkowski?

Of course, the other thing to consider is that he may just not be a very good football player.

Re: Gholston starting tonight

I was watching the Ratbirds-Jest matchup, and I noticed that Gholston was pretty easily eaten up by blockers. Is there an angry mob complete with pitchforks at the GM's doorstep because of that pick?

Because obviously Gost sucks at the DE position. I think you're being pretty generous when you say he has a bullrush. Being about 190, I don't think he even has that! I know Bill likes players that can play multiple positions, but I think they should leave gost to the kicking game... :D

Gost will actually lay someone out if he has to. He will throw his body around more than I'd want him to, actually.

Re: Gholston starting tonight

He has a lot of potential but I don't think he is ever going to realize it. Bust.

Re: Gholston starting tonight

Gostkowski would be an improvement at linebacker over Gholston.

Re: Gholston starting tonight

Let's hope that both Sanchez and Gholston are total busts of high first round picks. It wouldn't get any better that that.:rocker:

I think the Sanchize will be just fine, I am quite excited by this kid. A couple of years in the leauge is what he needs to get his game on.

If Ghoulston was ever to come on this year, The Jets wold be scary good on D.

I agree but I don’t see him ever being a force in this league…. the addition of Bart Scott however was huge.

I dunno about you, but I'm just not that worried about Mr. Scott, especially after his most recent performance against the Pats. . . . :)

Re: Gholston starting tonight

I don't want Sanchez to be a bust. I want him to be just slightly below average, so the Jets and Jets fans hold on to the hope for the next six years, and don't invest in another QB.
