Re: Golloway and Maroney

Both looked much better.

Nice to see maroney look good in the passing game....one catch on a quick dump from brady was real nice.

Galloway looked ok still looks like he needs some time to get in sync but starting to look like he will.

Re: Golloway and Maroney

Golloway was good.

Hopefully Tom Brody is OK. Coach Bollichick didn't look too worried so I think we're OK, even without Mott Cossell

Would you like to buy a vowel?.....like,maybe an A?

Galloway......Brady.....Belichick

I'm pretty sure he was doing it on purpose because MG mis-spelled Galloway's name...

MG - why do you always seem to mis-spell at least one player's name a year?? You've constantly misspelled Kaczur's name.. And I know you've done it with others, though I can't remember them off the top of my head..

It seems silly to mispell a word in a post about mis-spelling. I'm sure you can remember "then" if you tried. Of course, that is what we are left to talk about after the third menaingless preseason game as we long forward to the fourth which will hav even less meaning.

Oh, it will have meaning. It means that the next game counts.. :)

BTW, Hitting an N instead of an M is different than hitting an O instead of an A or spelling Kaczur as Kazcur.
I hope you weren't claiming that I misspelled mis-spelling.. since it can be done with or without the hyphen..

Now, as for the 4th game, I think you are only somewhat correct. I believe that the 4th game is the most critical one for the bubble players. Bruschi, Lenon, Yates, Wendell, Connolly, Alex Smith, Greg Lewis, BJGE, Morris, Chris Taylor, Slater, Ventrone, Steve Williams, Titus Adams, Ciurcui, etc.

Maybe that's because McGinest doesn't play for the Pats anymore.

I dont think Maroney is very good but I did see a vast improvement from him when hitting the hole,In one run he looked to the left, saw nothing and head to the right finding a gap which led to a 6+ yard gain and he went straight though the middle more often without the 1.5 second dancing shuffle in the backfield.

He was definately more decisive - But I will say that once again BJGE looked better between the two even though BJGE played vs scrubs late in the game

IMO Galloway and even Lewis has a LOOOONNNNGGGGG way to go before they get this offense down pat,While Galloway made a few nice catches,he looked out of place on others - I don't really see much breakaway speed from Lewis as defenders are usually right on hs ass.

i'm guessing because english isn't his first language.

There were still plenty of running plays where the OL got pushed back... folks like to blame Maroney for dancing... when there's a DT 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage it can be tough not to

How come when Taylor does it it's called "studder step", but when Maroney does it it's called "dancing"?

Maroney is the same guy we have all come to know and love (or not). He will be a KR and share carries with Morris and Taylor (whoever is healthy). Next year he will probably leave, so I look for BJGE to stay.

Galloway is clearly struggling to make his reads and get on the same page with Brady. I see little progress there, and don't know how long they can go with him given the quality and competition elsewhere on the roster. I hope that Edelman continues his ascent up the steep learning curve because he may be the next best thing we have at the position.

Galloway looked like his feet were stuck in concrete most of the night. He looked a bit confused and passive out there. I am not sure how patient you can be with this guy. He is nowhere near what Stallworth or Gaffney was in this offense. While I think the Pats offense has the potential to be great this year, I think it could be a bit stale when you're relying on Moss and Welker all the time. Someone else has to step up. I am hoping Watson or Baker will do just that, because I'm losing hope with Galloway.

Maroney finally showed some glimpses last night. I think he did well with his opportunities. He caught the ball really well out of the backfield. He did look a bit clumsy with handling the ball and it almost got knocked out a few times.

BJGE looked like the best rb on the field. When will this guy get a roster spot?

I wonder how successful Stallworth and Gaffney were during their first pre season competition.

Gaffney didn't have a preseason. He was brought in during the season after being cut by Philly.

Now there is a name from the misspelling HOF. I butchered that poor guy's name for YEARS
