Hey all. Just wanted to give the heads up that tonight I will finally be able to really dedicate myself to watching the scheme, players, and matchups. I'll have the dvr and really go through it for what will hopefully be a pretty comprehensive breakdown of the game. If anyone has any particular things they would like me to look for, certain players to specifically analyze, or certain fronts disected, please post up here. Thanks!

I'm interested in how often we're running press coverage in the preseason.

and theres nothing you enjoy more than a strong cornerback running some physical press coverage, right tobias?

How does Bodden look - like a #1? Good speed?

Wheatley - lost or just red shirt season

Burgess - is he getting it?

What kind of effort big Vince is giving? Thanks in advance.

You've always had a lot of great defensive breakdowns in the past, I'd be curious to see if you can confirm or deny what my eyes have seen thus far, which is a more aggressive defense, and more trust in the secondary. More man coverage, more cover1 & cover0, less of the soft cover 3. I know reading coverages on TV, even w a DVR, can be futile, but any thoughts there would be welcome.

Run-blocking: last year the Patriots were terrific, especially once Neal returned. This pre-season so far they have been sloppy. How are the fundamentals looking now?

DE/OLB responsibilities: do the '4-3 DE' guys - Burgess, TBC - start to integrate more OLB responsibilities, showing some versatility, or are they strictly pass-rushers? Can Burgess and TBC set an edge at all vs. the run? Do they ever drop into coverage? Similarly, how does Woods look play-to-play as he takes a primary role in the 3-4.

Gunner and vice roles - key to making the 53.

how is galloway doing? does he seem lost, or is he getting it?

is the timing off or has age caught up with him? can we trust him as the #3 WR or not?

thankx

What colour cleats is Brady wearing...

On a more serious note I'm interested like alot of us in Burgess, his play and how he lines up.

Maroney bashing has gotten off to an early start this year, so you might take a look at his running plays.

Do the Redskins unveil their exotic blitzing schemes tonight?

Does Tom Brady continue to throw off his back leg (as opposed to following through) especially in the face of a pass rush?

Does Taylor protection pickups improve over last time?

I look forward to your DVR analysis, and that of Box'o'rocks and Pats1.. lots to learn from you guys!

It's because we have no Matt Cassel to distract us! haha

I'll be watching Pryor, TBC, McGowan and Burgess on D

I'll be watching Maroney, BJGE, Galloway and RT/RG on O

Should be a good night. There's a decent chance my wife will go into labour before the game kicks off, so I'll be glad for everyone's analysis if that happens.

I am just excited to finally be able to watch the Pats (not nationally in my market yet). I am looking forward to watch #12 bark out audibles and see how "mic'ed" up he is.

Is BB wearing his cut-off sleeves longer this season?
Reserve OL working C/G - impressions.
Special Teams.

Great stuff, really appreciate the effort jay.

Bit of an obvious one, but could I request some analysis of Maroney's presence on the field and how the blocking for him compares to the blocking for the other backs? Also, the types of plays we run when he's on the field, and the types of plays when others are on the field.

Ta :)

You may want to take a quick break during the actual delivery. You know how women can be.

Congrats on the baby!!

I don't think Pryor will be playing tonight, he was held out of practice recently.

Thanks! It was nothing... ;)

Bummer about Pryor. Ah well, let's see who else could impress.
