The Ashes.

We also had some umpiring decisions go our way :)

Do you have particular examples in mind?
His use of the spinners/quicks and setting of fields across different series leaves you scratching your head at the best of times.

Apologies I've not been paying attention to this forum.

Well, another drawn test match. Have to wait for friday now, see if Flintoff can get that body going again. Christ the mans only 31 and he looks 50.

Yup. Hardly managed to follow this one, not even the highlights. But it doesn't seem to have been an edge-of-the-seat match at any point.

It's been the most boring Ashes series for quite some time. Average cricket and weather punctuated with verbal spot fires.

The only time I was on the edge of my seat was to get up and go in the kitchen for something. I wasn't expecting a series of high class cricket though. Both teams lack their talismatic talent they once had and it painfully shows.

Your just saying that because your losing :D I've often thought about brining the dates of tests forward to say, May and June were Britain has it's best weather IMO. July and August can be unpredictable at times.

Ha ha ha.. I wish. We are being proper ****ed though by the English weather ;)

Overall it's been a really poor standard of cricket. Freddie has carried on like a pork chop for someone with such a statistically poor series.

Hopefully the last 2 tests will recapture some of the Ashes magic.

Here comes an innings defeat :(

Bopara and Bell are nowhere near test players sadly

Wow, England all out for 102

It really isn't funny when you think about it but it's just so pathetic I can't help but laugh...

It'll be the best thing for this series if Australia wins the fourth test. All of a sudden, test 5 becomes a monumental struggle for the Ashes. England wins, they reclaim it, Australia plays for a draw we retain it.

I'm praying for a result in the fourth and good weather. Test 5 with Freddie back and a fired up England and Australia is what this series needs.

Beaten like a rented mule, as our American friends say ...

I'm not too fussed with the Ashes anymore.. I just want some pints! :)

Well, one last heave, but, whoever wins, it won't have been a memorable series.

I just simply had nothing to say after the last test :D F'kin awful.

Atleast we may have a bit of drama to round off the series, England must win, simple as that.

We do well today with the ball, bowling the Aussies out for 160 (Broad having the innings of his life) to leave them trailing as I type by 211 and then as of now we are currently 39-3. Bell and Collingwood have totaly lost the plot with their dismissals. We have a chance to really put this game to bed and once again we struggle with the bat.

England need atleast another 200/250. They've been really stupid and frustrating with the bat this series and thats seriously lowered my enjoyment from it.

It's all over :)

Great game, brilliant team effort! Good debut for Trott aswell.

England Regain Ashes

It wasn't the best of series' as we know but it still provided drama. The Aussies fought well today, Hussey proving a pain in the arse for England whilst his mates fell around him. Mike eventualy went for 121 to bring the urn home.

One day series next and then we'll have to wait until christmas 2010. I'd love to say well done fellas but we sure made hard work of it. Well done to both sides anyways, an ashes series is always good to watch even if the quality of cricket isn't as good as it has been in the past.

Ditto to the above. The Aussies just made one or two more mistakes at more important times, but there were some stirring things in there too.

Well done guys. A terrible series in which England simply played smarter cricket for the greater duration of the series.

Pretty sure there'll be a massive inquest behind closed doors back here in Australia yet public unity.
