How injured is Crable?

Understood, but my point was more of an evaluation of their performance in the NFL.

Stating the obvious, but ones performance in college doesn't necessarily equate to how they'll perform upon transitioning to the NFL.

Understood, but he has no performance in the NFL to evaluate. Players get injured and easily reinjured when their schedules are interrupted by the previous problem. if that's the only issue, and they were satisfied with his progress in the two camps, he's the equivalent of a rookie who has interacted a slight bit in camp.

He's tall and athletic and a 3rd round pick.

It's looks like Wheatley and Crable are going to be really bad draft choices. And I'm not too optimistic about McKenzie returning from a torn ACL. I never liked Wheatley and thought the Pats should've took Terrell Thomas.

How do we choose players who can't be injured doctor?

Krypton U.?

About this much man.

Where did I read something to the effect (some personnel dude had said) : "If you're counting on Crable for an important role, you'll be dissappointed" ?

We all love TBC more anyways. Give it to me Tully, uh huh uh huh.

Crable had some very good moments in his rookie camp - "promising" is the word I think Reiss and some others used to describe his pass rushing skills. If I'm not mistaken Reiss reiterated this point in just the last week or so.

Maybe he's just unlucky (and don't forget that Crable's off season effort was praised by BB), but considering that the Pats are virtually screaming for OLB help, I don't think Crable's about to be cut. No way. Maybe the regular season PUP, but not cut.

One more time people. You CANNOT be PUP if you've participated in a practice. Please remember this.

Maybe IR again? Gawd forbid.

It was either a Reiss of Gasper column from the Globe and the quote can be attributed to an unnamed opposing team's scout.

Yeah... knew I read that somewhere. But you know what ? I'm taking that advice. I'm not counting on Crable, nor have I ever. Said it before, say it again : OLB opposite Thomas won't make this team lose. Now, if 12 other things go wrong... it won't help - but you get the point.

I think that it's very well established now that the Patriots simply don't know how to draft. At all. I'm sure we can all agree on this simple and obvious point.

since BB got here our drafts are top 5, our FA pick-ups are also above average overall, and our coaching staff comes up with really good results - hence the best record in the league, and the insane stat of all - since Dec 2002 the Pats have not lost 2 games in a row - including playoffs. unmatched all time.

yeah we suck

I'm pretty sure he was kidding.

That'd be a great stat--if it were true;)

Not only did we lose 2 in a row during the 06 season to the Colts and then Jets, we lost 2 in a row...AT HOME!!

Nov. 5 and 12th--Colts 27-20 NYJ 17-14

Oh please ... stop letting trivial little facts get in the way of a great argument. :D

Are you serious? He's injured again?

Absolutely useless. Pathetic.

I don't know why - but I keep thinking Crable is going to end up like Bethel Johnson. I know it's due to injuries, but I used to convince myself that Bethel would break out and be a star for this team, and I kept on being let down until he was gone. Hope the same can't be said for Crable.
