He was in on one play in the Cincy game during a kickoff and was reported to be grabbing his leg and going off the field not to return.

Of course BB tells nothing about his condition so I wonder if it is serious and he misses more time or maybe the season again? or if this was just a precautionary thing to pull him from the game to keep him from further injury?

We certainly can use an OLB not made of glass, lets hope Crable can get on the field consistently because I think he can be helpful to the pass rush.

What have you seen up until now would warrant your claim that he might possibly assist in the pass rush?

(Outside of that one preseason play from last year...)

Personally, he might be one of the surprise cuts this year, as the team doesn't have much to base an evaluation on seeing as he can't stay on the field.

Are some of these guys actually made of silicon products, or do they have tendons and muscles that get injured during exertion after a period of inactivity?

I imagine they evaluate them before deciding to draft them. could be a dartboard though, who knows?

By the way, the NFL's injury list rules are absurd. You can't put a guy that's injured on a temporary list unless he misses camp? How are you supposed to know if he's ready to play if he can't test his injury in camp?

They really need to revisit this.

He's MaDE oF gLaSs CuT him!

Understood, but my point was more of an evaluation of their performance in the NFL.

Stating the obvious, but ones performance in college doesn't necessarily equate to how they'll perform upon transitioning to the NFL.

Hard to see how he can make the team when he cannot get on the field.

??? You take exception to a statement that Crable might possibly help? You are saying that it isn't possible he might help?

I have seen that BB drafted him as an OLB in the thrid round, and that tels me he might possibly assist in hte pass rush.

What have you seen that warrants your claim that he cannot possibly help in the pass rush?

It gets so tiresome when someone opens the package of maroons and lets out the coconut covered "There is no was to say a player might possibly be any good until he third year as a pro" cookies.

It's looks like Wheatley and Crable are going to be really bad draft choices. And I'm not too optimistic about McKenzie returning from a torn ACL. I never liked Wheatley and thought the Pats should've took Terrell Thomas.

Ha ha.

I think that it's very well established now that the Patriots simply don't know how to draft. At all. I'm sure we can all agree on this simple and obvious point.

I think the Pats are one of the best at drafting players in the 1st round. However, we can argue this until the cows come home, but the Pats struggle with drafting between the 2nd and 3rd rounds. On the other hand, like most teams, the Pats occasionally find a gem in the middle to late rounds. I hope Chung, Butler, Vollmer and Brace break the curse.

I am saying I haven't seen much of anything, due to injuries, that would warrant either claim.
Who knows, you might be right, though there's not much to base that on at present time.

As for your other assertion, BB has drafted players in the past who haven't panned out, so that question is legitimate.

Bummah. I missed it when my man The Crab scuttled off the field never to return.

Maybe some people put a bit too much stock in Crable. Maybe Woods is going to tackle the RB on the 1 yard line as time expires in the AFCCG. Maybe Adam Seward - on the market - can come in and end all LB debates, as he will not require other LB's help...

Maybe Michelle Obama will lace 'em up and play OLB. She certainly has the wingspan for it..

Where DO these threads come from? Sigh...

Crable will start the season where he finished last year on Injured

Reserve and out for the year.

Hey... that rhymes real well... needs a good backbeat.

Crable will start the season where he finished last year
On Injured Reserve and out for the year.
Complainin' bout the situation, gettin' no love,
But it's hard ta be a playah when your stuck in the tub.

He wants to be contributin' an out on the field,
But his injury won't co-operate, seems it won't heal.
The trainers and the doctors say "We'll do what we must!"
To try and keep the Crab-Man from bein' a bust!
