I was just watching Sportscenter and they did a brief interview with
Larry Rawson ESPN track in field. He had 3 amazing facts on Usain Bolt.
He said that he did the math and he can validate these numbers.
I had to DVR this so that I got the numbers correct.
Usain Bolt is 6 foot 5 inches and 200 lbs.
#1 From Home plate to the pitchers mound it is 60 feet 6 inches.
By the time Usain Bolt goes the first 60 feet 6 inches his is going 26 mph.
#2 His last 40 yards in a race (At top speed) he does in 2.95 seconds.
#3 He runs the first 40 yards in 3.82 seconds.
(3% to 5% of the fastest football players going into the NFL draft run a 4.4)
The question is..... can he catch a football???
maybe the sox should sign him as a pinch runner.

He'd be crazy to do it.
As much as I love football, track is much, much bigger worldwide than football. Millions more know "the fastest man on the earth" than the top American football players.
He can make more cash, doing less, and not getting concussions. He'd need to be crazy to do it.
Does he really make more than 9M per year as a sprinter?
Or shortstop, at this point.
Belichick, after someone asked him on Monday if he's interested in seeing what Usain Bolt could do as a Pat: "Uhhhh ... not right at the moment, no."

This stupid-ass thread or one very like it is on nearly every forum I post on.
Inane.
Funny because overbearing, judgmental, stupid-ass replies from people with no sense of fun are on nearly every thread I read, like this one.
Incredible.
