OT: Madden 2010 Pats Ratings. Slightly/Way Off?

I think a few of the ratings are way off:

- Koppen is overrated at 91
- Brady underrated at 97 (they gave Manning a 99)
- Corners got no love. Springs is our best corner at 81. Darius Butler has a 77, while Leigh Bodden got 76, Wilhite 64, Wheatley 62
- Dave Thomas is listed as a FB rated 65
- Our RB's are rated horribly. Fred Taylor is our best at 82, followed by Maroney 78
- Derrick Burgess isn't on the team (Vick isn't even in the game)
- Mayo at 88 is oddly rated below Adalius at 90
- Bruschi is overrated at 81 over Guyton underrated at 70
- Both Light at 92 and Kaczur rated (too) high at 84
- Meriweather underrated at 79 (Chung is only 75)
- Watson improperly rated the best TE at 80, Baker is very underrated at 73

Wrong have you played the game recently they have roster updates, I played at my friends monday and Burgess was certainly on the team. Although I had to move him in the depth chart to start outside with AD.

Total Bull****. Manning was only good for half of last year, and to no surprise had another 1st game exit in the playoffs. Whatever, he had MVP, so he can have a high rating...but to diss TFB like that...BS.

I've only seen that link I posted. What do they rate Burgess at, and what is the Pats' overall team rating? Did they adjust any of the previous ratings I suggested are off?

From past madden games they may look bad but for this year they droped the ratings down so star players will stand out more than regular players. so if a player is rated 70 to 80 it means their an average player if a player is 80 to 90 their above average and 91 to 99 superstar.

What machine is he using? I just picked up the madden 10 for playstation this week, and Burgess is a Raider. If he's playing online, then he can get updates. Im not, so im stuck with what Madden gives me

Some other beefs i have with the game;

1. Ohrnberger is on the roster, but no Vollmer....wtf??
2. Wilhite is the backup FS behind Sanders.....wtf???
3. Although im ok with most of the ratings (because they go up alot after years 1 , and 2) Some of the rookies take forever to go up. Ohrnberger might as well be cut asap, because his rating never gets better. lol.
As some of you Madden players know, switching players to another position (Wilhite to CB) lowers their rating. So, im a little confused as to why Madden chose to put him at FS????
4. I hope Bodden and Springs are faster in real life than on this game. Sloooowwwwww as sh*t on the game

Ive only done about 5 seasons in franchise mode at this point, and thats simulating the seasons. So i can't comment on game play, because i just havent had time to play much. Im off this weekend, and plan to have a madden/beer-athon

The overall ratings don't mean a whole lot. I'm towards the end of my first year in franchise, and the MVP of the league is a 78 overall, and Jerod Mayo looks like the defensive MVP and he's an 88.

They made it so that a 60 or 70 in this years Madden doesn't necessarily mean the same as it did in past years. There is more spacing in between them, less 90 overall ratings. The number for individual stats is more important, ie: trucking or elusiveness for a RB, speed and agility for a KR / PR, throwing power and accuracy for a QB etc etc etc. A player can have great stats but a low awareness or low something else that brings down the overall rating.

Fred Taylor is a beast in the game, his rating is mostly dragged down from his injury issues. Guyton is unproven so of course he'd be low, but he ahs decent potential. Meriweather has great potential, and I think his rating is okay as he's clearly not a star yet. Koppen is pretty good in the game. I do think they miffed it a bit with the corner ratings, especially Bodden who should be a good 10 points higher with higher potential, but that's really all I disagree with.

Burgess / Vick / Favre / Le Kevin Smith --------that's all changed with roster updates. The roster they put out 2 days ago has Julian Edelman and Pryor with the team, Smith gone, Favre and Vick on their teams, Burgess as a 71 rated OLB (but 88 rated DE), and various other things for other teams. They put out a roster update about every 3 weeks until the season ends.

Dude you can get updates without playing online. Just download them from gamefaqs or any Madden sight, they're all over the place. As far as Wilhite being FS behind Sanders, it benefits you to mess with the depth chart.

being that this is the only game i ever play on PS (and im an old fart), how exactly do i DL these updates? Do i Download them to a flashdrive, and usb it to the PS? OR, just usb the PS to my computer?

Mayo went up to a 95 in his second year...sweeeet! Guyton, on the other hand, kind of sucked

Every madden fan always thinks their players are higher. The game already went gold when burgess was traded. And my game has vollmer and no oherberger, not sure how.

Anyways this is truly the best madden ever, and i hated last years.

Well my post from last night and sbb's disappeared lol. With regards to Burgess I put him outside with AD and he was a 75. They have Thomas as the starting FB so I put Morris in that position he was better. Also I moved Welker to 3rd on the depth chart that one is pretty obvious. For how low the secondary is rated I still played well on all-pro.

Nashvillepatsfan I take it you have a PS3, so I found this guide on how to update it. Remember PS3 has free online service and they release a good amount of updates throughout the year.

Go Online on your PS3 And scroll till you find the Depth Chart option once there click on the depth charts and it will prompt you to download the roster update also it used to be u had to go to play now to download the rosters i dont know if its still the same this year but i do know that you need to goto depth charts to get the latest roster

in regards to the Rosters the update that is out right now does not have have Vick in it yet

but EA Announced last week that Roster Update#2 will be out on Wensday and will have Michael Vick on the Eagles roster!

so if you want Vick in Madden 10 on the Eagles then i would wait till wensday when EA Releases Roster Update #2 hope this helps thanks

Madden has rookie Darius Butler at 77, better than Bodden at 76 and Wheatley/Wilhite in the low 60's. How could they make him our second best rated corner on the team, before training camps even started?
