According to Nancy Gay of AOL NFL Fanhouse, Raiders head coach Tom Cable fractured the jaw of defensive assistant Randy Hanson during a fight early in training camp.

WTF is wrong with that franchise lol
I heard it mentioned on ESPN that the Raiders are considering disciplinary action against Hanson for his part, which made no sense to me since it was HIS jaw that was broken and two people said he never saw the punch coming ...

... and then I heard that Hanson was a holdover from the Lane Kiffin regime, and I saw Al Davis at work again at a press conference, reading from a letter, "You showed insubordination by viciously striking the head coach's fist with your jaw with callous disregard for his knuckles. The fact that you weren't even looking at the time shows how little you care for the well-being of the head coach I selected. Tom Cable is a great coach. Get over it."

Fighting is the way that uncivilized people handle diversity. BB wouldn'T fight with staff.

wonder how long before we start getting Wrecks Ryan stories like this? maybe not jaw breaking but clubhouse scuffles and calling people out and a divided club house...mmmm....can't wait

I don't understand why staff would fight. I dislike many of my co-workers, but never once have I even come close to fighting. I think fighting is probably a pretty decent indicator of overall intelligence. Only a moron would fight - especially one in a high profile gig like the OAK coach.

Its the raiders, ***** happens.

Players fight in camp all the time without the Ommissoner stepping in. This should be handled in house.

From Rotoworld:

"It was Cable who hit him," a source said. "Hanson never saw it coming."

It's one thing a couple of guys square off, but this is over the top. It probably will be handled in house with Davis tossing some $$$ at Hanson.
Cable comes off like a jerk in this. Guess which one is Cable.

The entire world, 'civilized' or not, fights. Anyone who thinks that force doesn't solve issues is fooling his/herself.

Hate to say it... but yeah - it's working out real nice for the bullies of the globe right now. Hearing a lot of Norwegians getting killed ? How's that peaceful crap working out for them ? Awesome, I'd say.

Maybe the people who are obsessed with violence are the ones getting hit the most.

He must have confused the Swiss with those Fightin' Norwegians.

But about the Raiders. Players get stiff fines for fighting, and there's a big difference between tempers flaring after some rough action in a full-contact sport and a head coach breaking the jaw of a member of his own staff on the sidelines. This is ugly.

Sure, but Steve Smith got 'in house' punishment for his incident. The problem here, naturally, is that that Davis is seemingly insane. He'll probably punish Crable by making him eat fudge ripple ice cream instead of Heath Bar Crunch.

I highly doubt it. The only thing Tubby Wrecks is fighting with is a diet.

Bulldust. Sometimes there's no option other than to snot a prick who is acting like a twat after all talk has been exhausted.
