15 has been enough in the past (often 6 DL's and 9 LB's). I think that even with more 4-3, we could still keep the same number.

DL (7) Seymour, Wilfork, Warren, Wright, Brace, Green, Pryor/Smith
OLB/DE (2) Burgess, Banta-Cain
OLB (3) Thomas, Woods, Crable
ILB (3) Mayo, Guyton, Bruschi

A 16th is certainly possible, perhaps reasonable. Lenon and Ninkovitch come to mind.

9 DB's seems to be sufficient with McGowan competing with Tank and special teamers for the 9th DB roster spot.

Very reasonable analysis. I agree with your 7 DLs, with Pryor looking to edge out Smith at this point if he continues to show well. I'm not sure TBC is a lock, and Thomas can certainly play DE as well as OLB. I'm not sure how much we can depend on Bruschi.

9 DBs sounds about right, with 4 safeties and 5 CBs pretty well set, though I'd like to find a spot for Tank Williams. Slater and Ventrone will be hard pressed to make the roster between the depth at safety and WR, especially with Edelman looking strong.

I'm not sure TBC is a lock.

If he keeps getting to the QB like he did on Thursday, he's a lock. In fact, I can't remember one play from '08 when I saw a LB or any passer rusher run around an offensive tackle that quick to sack the QB. If the Pats want to see another Lombardi trophy again, this is the kind of pressure the Pats need to put on opposing QB's.

15 is what i get ...
and almost he same folks as you have.

But Pryor, i think, bumps LeKevin out.
I also have TBC vying with Alexander for the undecided 8th LB.

Bru stays as a spot player and mentor,
sometimes inactive, always giving intangibles.

I keep 10 DBs, though, including Ventrone
... and with Richardson and Tank duking it out for the last spot.

Reiss has 15 with 4 TEs and Law firm at RB. I'd rather keep an extra LB or DL. We have lots of talented DL that might or might not fit in. If Lenon or the DE/OLB convert project ninkovich aren't worth holding a spot, maybe pick someone up.
