Nice start Mangina :-)

Quinn completed four straight passes in the two-minute offense just before the half to move the Browns to the Packers' 6 before Braylon Edwards dropped a would-be touchdown pass. On the next play, Quinn threw behind Edwards, and Green Bay safety Anthony Smith picked off the pass.

"That was a poor decision on my part," Quinn said. "Especially in that situation, you want to come away with at least some points. If it's not a touchdown, a field goal. I put that on myself, and I apologize to my teammates."

Now if they could only arrange for his teamates to apologize to Quinn, particularly Edwards, and get Mangini to stop playing ridiculous head games with the most important position on his roster, they might be on to something. Mangini is making it tough for his own offense to build an identity or rhythm with his indecisive game of musical QB's.

This is his perverse understanding of Training Camp Competition... what a tool, hope he gets fired again.

My mother sold me and my siblings to Colombian drug lords when I was five, years later she found me and apoligized and immediately stole 10,000 from my bank account, the next time I saw her she had her biker boyfriend shoot me in the stomach,I have forgiven her....I will never forgive Mangini.

He should name Quinn the starter and move on. Maybe some weirdo would give him a decent pick for Anderson. I dunno. The fact he got a gig so quickly was a surprise. I think he could actually be a decent HC if he cut the bull. That whole rookie on a long bus ride to a camp for kids... that was BS too. Mangini seems like the kind of guy who COULD be a successful winner but keeps doing stupid things that prevent him from achieving.

That's exactly what he's trying to do with his posts, avatar and signature.... and it's certainly worked on you. :) Occasionally, though, he comes out with some pretty funny stuff (i.e. dynastification), and sometimes even a glimmer of insight. Wouldn't surprise me if he is an "alter ego" for another poster.

So isn't that the classic definition of a loser? Someone who habitually sabotages himself?

Might the Browns be a team where Tom Jackson's "they hate their coach" is valid?

why cleveland hired him is a mystery to me........mangina didnt seem to do that much at ny to deserve another chance at hc that quick.....

Obviously he has a large number of photographs, or other compromising material, on the owner and City officials.

There's nothing else I can think of to justify giving him another shot.

He's the Brett Favre of Coaches.

Why does Aaron Rodgers look like he's 50 years old in this picture. Is it the bags/wrinkles under his eyes or is this just a terrible photo?

I generally kind of think that it's bad karma to wish bad things on another human being. But, in the Rat's case! Nah! Bring them on! A pox on him and his team!

Failure! Ruin! Destruction! 0--16; Bad fish! First scoreless season in the history of the NFL (well, maybe that's a stretch); Termites! Backed up septic systems! You get the idea!:enranged::woohoo:

As much as I would like to bash Mangini, it was one preseason game and the first game where the starters don't play more than a quarter to quarter and a half. People need to stop putting so much weight on one preseason game.

Because when you've been with the Patriots, you're that attractive. Did anyone say he did **** in NY to earn a job? Nopr, instead we heard how he might jus need a change of scenery, like Bill. Not tryin to sound ****y or anything, but any kind of pieces that leave the organization will always be scrapped up by another team, hoping to build their own magic with our used parts.

But yeah, that's maybe why he got a job ;)

Funny isn't it? You know it's August when Raider fans are talking tough about how their team is going to really improve this year. I notice when I visit the other sites, not really exclusive fan sites like this, you'll see all these Raider fans going nuts right now, as they've done the last 3 years in pre-season.

I don't think this preseason game has the Browns worried at all, for obvious reasons. I guess we as fans are so football starved we'll make a story out of anything.

I think Mangini is simply someone who watched and cried for "Remember the Titans" so many times that he thinks that coaching style is good in the NFL.

Give Mangini credit. He learned from the best and he knows that in order to succeed one must first get fired from the Browns.

On that matter he looks to be doing much better than his mentor.

I suppose people wondered even more what Kraft was up to by getting BB for a FIRST ROUNDER ! Can you imagine ?

Turns out it was probably one of the best used 1st rounders of all-time !

It's the facial hair and the shadows...adds 20 years onto him unintentionally(or intentionally if editor doesn't like him ;)).

He IS kinda creepy isn't he ? Even things that are said are creepy. But, he is also funny in a wacko-kinda way. Glad he's here, on the board to entertain us, and not next door.
