Anybody know what the deal is with Bruschi? I've been hearing that he hasn't been doing much at training camp and he didn't play last night.

I didn't expect to see him play a hell of alot this year, I guess I have to come to grips with the fact that Tedy is all but done. :( :( :(

What? Speak up ... I can't read you. :confused2:

We all love Tedy but he should definitely call this his last go-round. Great player though..... Lotta special memories

Maybe Tedy need a pick-up;

I don't think there's any reason to play Bruschi more than necessary. It's preseason, he knows the plays. Save the wear and tear. BB probably wants to try a lot of looks without him to see what we've got.

Plus, to all the people that think BB has no sense of humor, we get to see a lot of Alexander so we can sat WTF is he still doing on the team?

The three wolf moon shirt protects from wear and tear.

Bruschi has not participated in a full pads practice since the second day of training camp, July 31.

That seems weird. No practicing ever would be one thing, but starting to practice and then disappearing... could he end up retiring sooner than expected?

I would say he probably got hurt. Not that you'll ever hear anyone at Gillette admit that.

I think with what we know of Bruschi I doubt he would retire like this in camp. If it was an injury thing he wouldn't retire because he IMO would have than earned his pay (getting hurt in TC would earn him IR for his check). He has to much passion for the game to walk away from his team in camp so IMO it would have to be some sort of extenuating circumstance for him to retire in camp. I wouldn't put it out of the question for BB to have to make the tough decision that Bru isn't one of the 53 but no way would that have happened after a day and also with the depth at LB I don't think its true.

again I think to assume anything other than injury would be wrong to do at this point...lets just hope its not serious because as much as some people around here dog Teddy for being slow and old he is still IMO your second best ILB for the 3-4 (behind Mayo). Guyton while he has bulked up still needs to prove he can take on and shed the guards...his speed makes him better VS the pass but Teddy is better VS the run and since we go nickle and dime on obvious pass downs I conclude Teddy #2 ILB in 3-4.

I know we have been working alot out of the 4-3 in TC and preseason game 1 but I still think 3-4 is the base D and until I see 4-3 consistantly in regular season I don't buy it as more than building flexability.

He was at the Country Music Festival last night. They were getting set for Kenny Chesney to come out and my GF was wondering if Bruschi would be there. She no sooner said something and then he came out of the corner of the stage to get his pic taken with a couple of crew guys. Then he turned to the crowd and raised his arms to the crowd.

He came out and sang with Kenny then he went off and Welker came out. Here's a couple of pics I got of them on the jumbotron.

how about Wes welker i didnt see him their either????

I dunno...Brewski has earned his right to the benefit of the doubt, but I also am sure that BB isn't going to get sentimental when it comes to what's best for the team. I hope it works out for TB...we all owe him an enormous debt of gratitude for what he's meant to this team and to all of us these past years. We love ya, big guy!

Guess my days of making fun of the Peyton/Chesney love affair are over. :( Thanks SmokeShowing.
