Easy to see that the pre-season has gotten underway. You don't need to look at the schedules, or the TV or anything else. This time last year a majority of Pats fans wanted Cassel cut and we saw how that turned out... maybe Maroney will rush for 2,000 yards and 12 TD's!

Maroney is the Reggie Bush of the Pats. They both:

Dance from side to side
Are made of glass
Wasted a first round draft pick
Will lose their spot sooner rather than later.

I want the Maroney we saw in the 2007 playoffs. He was really good. What happened to that guy?

I'd like to see you play with a broken shoulder. Oh but you couldn't because you're probably as soft as cake.

And you are aware that the OL has to actually do this one thing called RUN BLOCK in order to OPEN HOLES for the running back to get through right? Or did you just not ever play football? I'd guess it's the latter.

Another dead horse - I was in the Patriots.com chat room for the first quarter or so of the game, and some people were freaking out about the defense not being tight enough, etc. I said a couple times, "People, it's the first preseason game, there's going to be some rust." I also pointed out that BB, like most coaches, uses a pretty vanilla defense in these games... but to little avail.

So I hope we're not going to see a rash of "gloom and doom" threads starting up on here. There's very little you can judge about a team by how they look in preseason.
