Very impressed in his first preseason game 4 tackles & 1 assist, but when he was in there he was obvious and made his presence felt... blocked FG, intimidating hitter... sure there were some deficits, but this kid is exciting and a nice addition.

It's hard to make Chung one's "binky" because he was the highest pick, but he sort of became my unofficial binky because of the Patrick Chungisms thread... so I've been rooting for him to have a Mayo-like debut year.

You can't tell anything (good) yet, not until it's full speed, real season, full pads... but you can tell bad things. Didn't see the game, but from what I hear it sounds like he belongs in the NFL.

I still think he's starting by mid-season, if not before. Some guys have said how about game 1... I'd like to see that, unless of course they don't do it, in which case of course they're right. What can I say, I'm drunk on the kool-aid.

The blocked FG won us the game.

Its a preseason game. Winning isn't really a goal out there. Plus, blocked field goals are completely non predictive events.

I understand that it is preseason but Belichick loves winning period. That fg block was against the first string sp teams for the Eagles. So it kinda means something. I think he looked great i also liked Guytons play havent really heard anyone talk about his performance.Just my 2 cents.

not entirely true. when i was playing football back in the early 2000's we had this one kid on our team that had an uncanny ability at blocking kids. he must've been 5'9" so he wasnt blocking kicks b/c he was tall. he had an unbelievable ability to get thru tight holes. he was on my team for 2 years before he graduated, and he blocked about 7 kicks (fG's and punts). im hoping chung is one of those guys

when he graduated, we had the same system, yet maybe 1 or 2 blocked kicks as a team.

It doesn't' seem much has been said about Guyton. Early in the game i was listening to thegame not watching it, and i kept hearing tackle made by Mayo and Guyton Mayoe and Guyton Guyton and Mayo. Taking last night and last year Guyton seems to be the real deal.

Possibly twice. He was right there in Aker's face on the last missed field goal, and I'm sure being blocked before it was in the kicker's mind. Might have contributed to the shank.

It's Pat Chung thank you!

Patrick > Eugene (already) :D

I thought Chung looked pretty good last night...He came right up to the line and filled rushing lanes with a force and the one time I noticed him in coverage he seemed beat and the pass was completed but he then closed quick and made a pretty hard tackle. He has speed to make up for his mistakes and plays really hard nosed. If he progresses quickly he will be starting real soon and we will have a pretty nasty safety duo.

Chung was my binky before he was drafted. I heard a predraft interview of him on Sirius moving the chains and my first thought was "This kid is a patriot!". And when we drafted him I went nuts. Then hearing BB put Chung in the same category as Mayo on Sirius training camp tour did things to me that I am not allowed to talk about on here!

I believe he was actually the one that stuffed the Philly runner on the goal line last night as well. I couldn't see the number, but I believe it was #25. He hits like a mack truck.

He's already my fave....we'll along with Jerod Mayo.

I like Tommy but DEFENSE wins Championships.....just ask Eli Manning.

Ed Reed had that ability early in his career, then they removed him from ST because he was to important. I hope chung is one of those guys who blocks alot of kicks.
