You need a package more expensive than the basic digital HDTV package which thrifty Scots like I have which does not include NFLN. You need to upgrade (something like $13/month) to Digital Premiere (not sure of exact name) to get NFLN.

I called comcast a few days ago to find that out as well. It's cheaper to get the basic package and the 7.95 sports package add-on, then it is to get the $13.95 digital premier add on if all you want is NFLN.

They didn't drop it out of the sports package like I thought. All that was done was it became available in a higher tier. I still don't know what the fuss was all about.

Yea,you're right I pay $170/mo for the Triple Play, which includes:

High Speed Internet,Telephone and HD Cable with HD DVR AND the Sports Pkg(which includes the NFLN and a bunch of other sports garbage).
The HD is pretty good, however,I 'll jump on FIOS,if it ever gets to my third-world city)

Its pretty silly with the whole NFL Network issue with Comcast. They made it sound like everyone with any level of digital service would get the channel but that's not the case. Thankfully for me at least I already have the sports package since Fox Soccer Channel is also included with that. Too bad Setenta Sports is far too costly for Comcast to ever included it in that package.

I wish we'd get Verizon FIOS or something similar here in MN. In my area we got Comcast which has added all of one HD channel in the past year. In this case we got ION HD. Our last added HD channel was the Big Ten Network last year. So as you can see.... yeah, Comcast sucks in my area. They claim that we'll have "up to 100 HD channels" by March of next year. I'll believe that when I see it.

I'm really tempted to jump to DirecTV due to the Sunday Ticket offer right now. At least then I won't have to worry about missing any Pats games and will be able to see the upcoming season of Friday Night Lights before it airs on NBC.

cable is such a rip off. Direct tv has a new offer for new customers, if you get sunday ticket, your direct tv is free for 5 months. Also, Nfln is included in basic dtv packages. After the the 5 months, its 59.99 a month, which includes premium channels like hbo and showtime. F cable.

I WISH I could get that. Up here, in the People's Republic of Maine, one of the USA's 3rd world areas, we can't get that because no one has run enough fibre optic lines. I can get Comcast, but NOT all of their stuff, as the "On Demand" isn't available. I can get there internet, but not the phone service, which means I still have to have another line for that.

I can't get satellite, because I don't have a credit card. I haven't really needed one for anything else, so I don't have any.

What if you got a paid Visa card like Wired Plastic or if you have a Paypal account .....either a Paypal debit card or Paypal credit card?
Not being nosey,I'm just trying to help, but is the credit card the problem? or is DirectTV or DISH denying you because of a credit Check?

Cassel on in 11 minutes.

Nothing about the Pats camp yet. Did I miss something?

If it wasn't for fans of this board reporting what they see at camp....you wouldn't even know the Pats are even in camp:mad:

WEEI doesn't speak a stitch of anything other than the Red Sox and Seroids.

I was hoping the thread title was accurate in that this would be a 90 minute special on just the Pats. Guess not

I was hoping the same thing but it looks like wishful thinking at this point.
Maybe tomnorrow!

I agree about EEI. I tune in online and never hear any Pats talk but I understand. Red Sox are king.

So, where is Patriots training camp?

Here we go.

**popcorn**

That Brady to Moss with Moss punting the ball after the catch for the TD was pretty sweeeeeeeeeet! :D

Meh. It was alright. Brady looked good though. Welker and Moss continue to dominate. Lord I can't wait until Thursday.

I will have my popcorn ready on Thursday.

Way shorter than I expected but good to see them out there running around.

Popcorn all around come Thursday.
