Tommy has been biting at the bit to get back out on the field for the first time since last september so I think it would take a military tank with all guns blazing to keep #12 off the field this august,In fact I bet he plays this preseason more than ever before if BB lets him have his way.

That being said,This upcoming first preseason game vs. Philly on thursday night will have Tommy on the field for how long?

Lets play the guessing game and see who is correct...

The Eagles are a blitzing team. Even though this is the exhibition season, I don't think BB will want to keep Brady in there very long. I'll guess 1-2 series.

One drive if he makes it past the 50 yard line on the 1st one. If it's a 3-and-out (or close to it), then two drives max.

The question is will Reid send Hobbs or Samuel on a corner blitz to rattle Brady their former teammate?

A sneaky feel into Reid's plans tells me we see it happen once during the few series he plays which I think is 2 or 3 offensive series.

I think 2 drives is about what most franchise QB's get in week 1. As deep as this team is across the board I'd be surprised to see many starters get more than that except for a couple of the new veteran additions might play into the second quarter.

I do expect a very fired up defense from the Eagles in tribute to their fallen leader Johnson....there will definately be some emotion in the eyes of those defensive players in the green helmets.

I think for Philly emotion may run high but reality (injuries) will temper it. They've been having a tough camp in more ways than one.

Believe it or not I am very interested to see what Walter brings to the table,If Brady ever had to go out for any time during the season I want to know what we got behind him and the less Brady plays the safer it is and the more we get to see the #2 and #3 guys strut their stuff.

I think its a near certainty that we go with Brady,Walter and O'Connell on the opening roster and Hoyer who has shown some nice skill in camp bring sent to the PS

I went with one drive but I could agree with this but like you said max.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a little more than usual in the next two though.

Yeah,Our former guys now roaming the Eagles secondary are going to be asked to make some big plays often this season for the Eagles to remain competitve in arguably the toughest division in football in the NFC East,Injuries have made their presence ever so important.

Why play brady against the Eagles starters? Play him after they leave the game.

1-2 series should be an option. That is my guess. Just to be on the safe side, I put 2-3.

LOL In some respects that would be more dangerous - playing with and against guys fighting for a roster spot is not where you want the franchise practicing.

Brady kinda has a bulls eye on him anyway. When Brady was hurt alot of other team fans thought it was great. When he went down it changes the afc.

I think he'll play two or three series, then sit. I doubt Bill will play him an entire quarter. Not in the first preseason game.

0. He will be seen doing warmup on the sideline in street clothes and then disappear. If at all he makes the trip.

I'm going with this option too, SVN.

I'd rather have a game played first, so that the OL/offense in general etc can get somewhat familiar with each other, and gel even the tiniest bit.

No reason to rush back in the very first PS game, but that's just my opinion though.

I think he will be dressed and maybe play a couple of downs but nothing more than that, he is looking good at TC so there is really not much need for him to play in preseason.

He better play all 4 quarters, or at least until the victory is assured. No free rides, pretty boy!

Can't really vote, cuz my answer is not up there. I think the 1st string office will play one series if they score on that series, and potentially a second if BB doesn't like what he sees in the first series.

I don't think I've ever seen this team this..... "ready". I hope they have a healthy pre-season.
