In todays NFL, if you are not producing up to your contract, you are either cut, traded, or asked to renegotiate. Yes. If AD was notching 11, 12, 13 sack seasons, forcing all kinds of fumbles, etc. that would indicate he is making big plays on a regular basis. He has not been a James Harrison-type player that you would expect from a $22m guaranteed player w/ a cap hit of another $20 or so mil at the end. Is BB glad he is here? Of course. Does he think his production has been equivilent to the money the team is paying him? I think it's up for debate.
I still don't understand why that statement is so outrageous to you?
If that were actually true you wouldn't have any criticism of Adalius.
These 'fluffy sack totals' that I reference as a benchmark were set out in your first post on the subject.
