Hi all. I just saw a thread in the VIP area that mentioned that Stub Hub is still required to give the Patriots the names of people who buy game tickets through Stub Hub. Is that still true?

If so, why do they do that?

A large number of us get shut out when trying to buy tickets through normal means. Isn't the "Ticket Exchange" only available to season ticket holders, and those on the waiting list?

So, if I were to go through Stub Hub to get game tickets (and I never have by the way), and go to the game and spend a boatload of money on parking food, drink, jerseys etc., why should the Patriots brass care?

Anybody have any insight? Thanks in advance.

Simple. Pats insist on controlling their product.

Not that I want it to happen, since I buy many tix from the Exchange, why don't you put down the $100 and get access to the available tix, at face, not stubhub prices? The $100 is refundable when you decide to take yourself off the wait list.

They are not going to do anything to the people buying the tickets.

They went to court to get a list of the season ticket holders who sell
tickets on stubhub for a profit.

I am not sure if they have taken any action on the fans on the list as of
yet.

I was under the impression they revoked the season tickets of those who were reselling via stubhub.

Thanks Tailgater. It's not as simple as $100. It's $100 per ticket (4 in my case), and they don't accept American Express or Mastercard, so I'd first have to open up a VISA account. I still may do it, I'm just sayin'...........:) Appreciate the feedback.

No need to get waitlisted for 4 seats to access the exchange. You can purchase up to 4 tix per game regardless of the number of seats you reserve on the waitlist.

The visa thing is a pain, isn't it? you might check with the team to see if you can pay by check, even if it appears on the website that you can't. Yoiu might be able to go to the ticket office and pay in person.

Good luck!
