He sounds like he has been here forever....

Paraphrase: when asked if he was motivated to get back to the pro bowl he basically said that didn't matter he just wants to help the team win.

When asked what position he would play he said what ever the coach tells me.

Does anybody know what # he will wear? I'm guessing he will keep his 56 since he wore it in Philly and Oakland.

They retired 56 on the Patriots!! Andre Tippet!! he might keep 49 i think!

Burgess will see more than situational downs. He will be the primary OLB opposite AD.

I agree - this dude looks motivated.

how much time does Burgess have on his contract?

I don't mean to be a downer, but he really didn't seem to enthused in this interview. He seems to just be gowing through the motions.

Hes just being professional, he sounds like a man on a mission.

Sounds good then. I'm hoping that he is happy to be in NE and his play shows it.

Well, then cut him right away. If a player can't get pumped up after his first practice of the season, why even keep him on the team.

I don't even know what to say about this response. I never in any way insinuated anything with my post. What an overreaction . . . I guess you're trying to be funny, though. You get an E for effort.;)

Based upon his manner and demeanor, he's not an "interview" kind of guy. He's a football player.

Not everybody is made for dealing with the media.

They'll get no state secrets out of him! lol

Seems like he never says I, I like that. Win ball games.

He didn't knock the Raiders either. That's an upstanding guy.

Top notch sarcasm right there.

He sounds like he is completely bored to tears...not a great sign
