Junior Seau stays open - BostonHerald.com

Sounds to me like a man who is not done yet playing pro football

I would think that BB would want to add more ILB depth to keep Bruschi fresh in the middle with Guyton and maybe add Seau in the mix as the season heads into the last quarter of the season - I think a productive Bruschi is a partially rested Bruschi and adding Seau would help do that,I think Mayo on the other side will be playing nearly every down like last year but a 3 man rotation opposite Mayo would probably be a good idea.

I would LOVE to see Junior get a ring (or two  ).

Yeah but those last six we'll need him most.:D

Concur. Having him to hand for the latter part/playoffs would be a good thing.

I say take those six and run w/it!

He deserves another chance to be part of ever.

In BB I trust.

The situation is similar to last year. If there is a serious injury, Seau could be brought back.

Agree, whatever "six" it turns out to be. In today's NFL, and certainly on BB's teams, it's a matter of having the right pieces to fit in the right slots throughout a long season full of injuries and other unknowns. A talent like Seau, should the Coaching staff conclude that his skills are where they need to be today, who can give you six good games is a real asset.

He'd be a pretty good backup, definantly no better at this point.

More than that, IMO, if the guy joined after like 10 games, i'd love to see him sign just for ONE more chance. One of the most depressing images in my football mind reminds me of that crushed looking Seau walking off the field after SB 42. This man deserves a ring!

I'll pass...........I don't believe he will make a difference anymore........

I will NOT pass. It's December. Guyton and Bruschi are out for the season. Seau comes in, plays 55% of the plays at ILB. He knows what's being asked of him. He stuffs the run once ina while. And he watches from the sidelines as TFB puts up 40 points on the board.

Everything was set for him to get the ring in 07. In 09, the conditions are right for another run... the NFL is a weird league. Who knows who'll get the key play of the key drive...

Do I want Seau in camp right now ? No. Do I want him on speed dial if things get crazy ? Yes.

Not now, but i could see a possible use down the stretch if a need arises. Keep surfing Junior.

We never carried a lot of LB depth, but I like our mix of starter talent, young guys and Lenon, if he pans out.

What a difference a day makes.

I'm all for it if Seau is up for it. Bring him on board quickly . . . rather, wait until the last quarter of the season.

No thanks Jr.

TC or bust....no free rides glamor boy

I'd rather have Junior than Bruschi.

I would like to have junior........however,for right now,I think the team is more concerned with cap space. The top priority is getting the Wilfolk deal done and lowering Burgess' cap hit.I think junior would cost us about a mil,but it's too risky to does this now.Perhaps, after 8 games, but Vince's deal must get done, first IMO

If he comes back, lets hope its not like the John Smoltz experience.
