Pats over the Steelers in the AFCCG

Pats over the NYG in the SB

What a way to close out the decade that would be. :) Can anyone think of a more satisfying finish (cept going 19-0 in the process)?

Add "beating the Colts" in the first playoff game and I'm sold.

winning it as the 6th seed, beating the jets, colts, and steelers all on the road, then beating the heavily favored undefeated giants team in the superbowl

Nah. While your scenario might be poetic for 2007 redemption reasons, I'd prefer to close the decade as Best Team of the Regular Season and Best Team in the Super Bowl. :)

Well, that would actually be in 2010, so it would be a great way to begin a decade.

That would be satisfying, but it would be even better IMO if the Steelers didn't make another CG and the Giants didn't make another SB anytime soon. Especially, the Giants. I want their season that year, and especially "that game," to be remembered as a fluke. As for the Steelers, making another CG just legitimizes their claim to greatness this decade. I'd rather beat them in the Playoffs and have the Manning Giants never get back to the big game.

I just want what the Pats accomplished to be so "out there," by getting to, hopefully, BB/TB's sixth AFCCG and fifth SB with a fourth ring, that this team is always remembered as one of, if not the, greatest ever.

I don't care how it gets done. I just want the SB victory.

Five Super Bowl appearances in Ten years, seems fine to me... Five & Ten sounds... familiar and has a nice ring to it:p:p

19-0 with Superbowl 44 won by 30+ points.. just so running up the score in a Superbowl can be discussed.

Mark Schlereth " The Pats are so disgraceful by going 19-0 and running up the score on every team including the eagles in the superbowl. I still think my Broncos from the past could kick the pats ass!"

Same here. Going 19-0 would be nice but it's not realistic. Not against this schedule.

EDIT: Then again, I was one of the people that said going undefeated was unrealistic before the 2007 regular season and look what happened...

I would add sweeping the AFC East at 6-0 would be nice as well
