Just learned that from patriot all access that Mayo has two younger brothers who both play LB. One at Hofstra and the other I believe at Richmond.

I am not huge into College ball but I know some of you guys are. Can some clue me in on what kind of talent these two kids have?

Here is the official scouting report: - Chances are they don't have much talent and have very little chance to make an NFL roster. That is why they are playing for Hofstra and Richmond and nobody knows who the hell they are.

yeah cause no one good has ever come out of schools like that

Let's hope one of them isn't named Richard.

I don't have the patience to do a Google search but the first name that comes to my mind is Marques Colston. He came from Hofstra. It was a good try at humor though.

Aye. As do I. Between Hofstra and the Jets, New Yorkers must love Wayne Chrebet.

Having said that, I must say that I absolutely HATED that piece of **** when he was on the Jets.

Please, get a clue. If you really think a bunch of studs go to Richmond and Hofstra then I hope you don't have a front office job in then NFL. Of course a couple guys come out of EVERY school with talent occaissionaly...even Columbia. But 99% of the football players on scholarship at Richmond and Hofstra haven't and won't play two seasons in the NFL. Look it up kids. Consider yourself "crushed".

The mentality of thinking to sign Mayo's brothers... is probably the same reason why the Baldwin brothers keep getting work in movies.

Nobody said that. So, like every other genius that makes a dumb post without a leg to stand on, you're resorting to the classic straw man. Welcome to my ignore list, champ.

i never said they are hot bed of football talent but you implyed they were bad BECAUSE they are in those school and i said that good players have come from those schools and then there was a list of over 50 combined players from those schools that have played in the NFL.

I can't guarantee you BB will sign them, but I can all but guarantee you he'll scout them and see if whatever traits were responsible for Jerod's success are present in his brothers.

Oh No, not your ignore list! It's killing me, ace. :D

I think the Pats should only sign relatives or players who look like they could be related to Pats players. And guys from Richmond and Hofstra, of course.

50 combined players out of literally thousands and thousands of players over decades of football. Pretty impressive.

My point was simple. I said "CHANCES ARE", that they aren't at anywhere near the talent level of Jerod. And I think that is a safe assumption due to where they are playing. If you kids can't see that, sorry.

Yes, because players from such illustrious schools as Illinois, Northern Illinois, Baylor, Connecticut, and Kansas State weren't drafted in the first round in the 2009 draft.

If you're playing the percentages when it comes to NFL talent evaluation then you are an idiot. You sir, are an idiot.

Jerry Rice says hi, btw.

And of course I look forward to seeing where this thread goes and how long you can troll it.

Those are all Division I football schools that, besides Northern Illinois, play in BCS conferences. The fact that these guys have the same last names as Jerod Mayo is basically meaningless; it's about 99.9% certain that they don't have the level of talent of their brother.

Eh, you never know. Look at what happened with the younger Ruud brother...

Stars have been and will be found in many different colleges at many different levels.

However, I've heard BB mention, when referring to certain players, that they faced good, stiff competition (especially when talking about players from the SEC).

Nobody's really asserting that his brothers have the same talent level, the big bone of contention with the troll is that you can't judge a player by his school. And you can't, otherwise we wouldn't have guys like Vollmer, Mankins or Welker on the roster.
