Got soaked for the second time in 4 practices. Fun Stuff

Kind of slow practice but some goos stuff.

Toping the list for me was Meriweather and Chung working together.

Meriweather picked off Oconnell again. Nothing spectacular from Chung but didn't looked lost and at one point I saw him directing Bodden a little (as a safety should) Meriweather and Butler were discussing something after a play and Meriweather came to the conclusion he was the one who screwed up not Butler interesting convo.

Mayo had a real nice deflection. Leaping what seemed like 5 feet in the air to knock down.

I was watching oline vs dline for a little and saw a nice bull rush by Tully, Mankins manhandle Le Kevin, and Vince bull right through Hochstein.

Edelman had the catch of the day on about a 30 yarder that just made it over the defender which Edelman caught at the highest point. Caught his punts this afternoon too.

Alex smith had two nice catches both low throws one he reached down and got just above the ground the other he went to the ground for.

Welker and the O had a perfectly timed screen play where the safety on that side blitzed and the only guy close had no chance to stop it. hmmm wonder if Tom knew it was coming.

Did some situational stuff at the end coming out from being pinned deep and two minute drill.

thats it for now if I think of something else I saw I will add it. Only going to the morning session tommorow as the Fam is over for a BBQ in the afternoon

They all look great in July, don't they. :)

(Except for Crabel of course ...)

Heh.

Which session is better to attend, AM or PM? Traffic in my 2 hr drive would seem to be better for the PM session. I'm heading there Monday.

What nerve. Don't they know there are some things more important than family? :p

So far they have all been in pads but the AM ones have seemed more spirited.

My drive is 10 min :D.....I was expecting the afternoon session to be inside and when I found out it was still on I left at 3:40 and didn't miss a thing:D

You can always spend a few hours and drive to Phins camp! :)

We need a spy!

I got banned from Davie when I became beligerant and started sexually assaulting their cheerleaders.

Re: SBB's 7/31 PM Practice

I gotta say I really want Edelman to progress as a WR(slot). Im not expecting great things, but him being a wildcat QB in college means he probably is pretty darn good at reading blitzes.
Just have to wait and see if he can read the quicker/more complex NFL blitzes, and from a diff position, and if he can make the right adjustment as a WR in the Pats Offense. Theres a few "ands" there...

(I guess the only way we'll see the above is if he progresses at ST play first, so theres another "and")

I would say he has looked OK on STs just hasnt looked good as a returner. I have seen him be the first down the field once or twice.

Side note Slater seems to pretty adapt at getting past the blockers from the gunner position even when double teamed

Stupid or long-winded? ;) You must look distinguished in your wiskers though.

Nice to read TBC still has his power, who did he push?

I just recalled one more thing that I think is worth sharing. Richardson was getting some work at Saftey.
