There is a rumor floating that SpikeTV and the Pats are in negotiations for the next season of the hit football reality show 4th & Long!

I saw this on another forum. Figure i post this to have something more to talk about if true!! If this is true, which Legendary Patriots player will be the host?

If Tedy Bruschi retires after this season i say he should do it!! He knows the Patriots system and would know what it takes to be a patriot.

I don't like 4th and long..... much prefer 2nd and short.

This was a pretty cool show, one of the few good reality shows.

Do we have a colorful personality who could host this show. I'd have to think, it'd be Rodney Harrison.

Rodney sounds like the best candidate, if bru retires, could they have 2 hosts?

Would be most entertaining.

I would be really interested in this if it actually happened...I don't know who could host this...most likely Rodney, or maybe a guy like Seau could host it...I assume it would be a different group of players though, most likely LBs and RBs instead of WRs and DBs...but since Randy Moss is nearing the end of his career, a guy like Troy Brown could host and look for a young WR...

I thought this topic was about Bill finally giving up on punters....

Whats 4th and long?

Me too,... So I got on my fanboy train and assumed BB figured out how to get an extra $500K freed up for the cap;).
Imagine having no punter:eek: I would be going nuts

Whats 4th and long?

Apparently a reality show where aspiring players compete in 12 challenges and the winner is awarded a roster spot for TC...like BB would ever tolerate Kraft entering into a deal like that...

This isn’t too far off from how they get some of their O linemen now. Neal, Seabass. :D

I read the thread title and thought this was going to be about the Pats either copying that high school team that never punted and always went for it on 4th down en route to a state championship, or maybe about the academic study about the probabilities of success when going for it on 4th down that BB surprised the professor by being the only NFL coach to have read it and not only familiar with the study, but considered it useful information.

Pats agreeing to do a reality television show to decide a roster spot?

Let's just say there's a higher probability of them saving the roster spot used on a punter and going for it on 4th down all year long.

I must admit this would be a lot of fun but I have to agree with Mo when I say I would be shocked if BB wants this.
