There isn't any real clear cut favorite but if I had to pick I'd go with Philadelphia. I also think Green Bay may end up surprising some people.

Philly on paper, but....on that same piece of paper it still says McNabb at QB....

I'm taking Seattle and New Orleans as the teams to beat.

Giants without a doubt. Very good coach. Good QB. Great D. Lots to prove (i.e., proving that the teflon helmet SB victory wasn't a fluke).

Not the Eagles, IMO. I think Donovan "has done his best work," as the old saying goes.

I said Philly but I think Drew Brees can help the Saints go far...yes Drew Brees will be the best QB as far as stats go in the NFL this year...and better than Brady although Brady's stats will probably be down since I think we can all expect nothing like the aerial circus in 2007,This team will be running MUCH more often than 2 years ago and I think we won't see 51-7 games that last more than 3 hours like we did in 07,this will be a balanced attack early in the season - Maybe later once Brady is back in a groove,then those 51 point games may show up.

NYG. I think they were headed for big things last year and were hampered by losing Burress. Philly will be strong. Maybe Atlanta falls as a soph slump arrives... but if they can start well, they could surprise.

Lotsa love for Vikings, but they often dissapoint. And Favre only worsens the situation. I don't care how much E. Kusilious (spell check...) loves him.

The Giants seem to me to be the most fundamentally sound team in the NFC, but I wonder if their unspectacular offense can get the job done.

Philly looks the best on paper, but they have big questions...Oline turnover, Westbrook's effectiveness, replacing Jim Johnson, McNabb...plus we all know the limitations of a Samuel/Hobbs defensive backfield.

The Saints look great on paper too, if all the new defensive pieces can gel. Big if.

A Brett Favre led team will not make a Super Bowl. Nor will a Tavarias Jackson or Sage Rosenfels team. Scratch the Vikes.

I see some dark horse making an Arizona jump and winning the NFC. The Skins look solid all around. Atlanta could do some real damage if the defense can keep up. I like the pieces Green Bay has. I expect a surprise in the NFC.

In my mind, until the Pats win the super bowl, the Giants will always be the team to beat...they have only gotten better since that game and with a revamped D-line they will cause all kinds of trouble in the NFC...

...Philly is a little overrated in my opinion...

I can't see the Vikings ever making a serious run for the superbowl. they always seem to be a notch below the class of the conference. childress just isn't that good of a coach.

Well this settles that debate.

I think Philly is good but they're a little overrated. In fact, who knows if Maclin is going to be a factor early on. If not, they're weak at receiver again. Also, will Westbrook stay healthy?

In my opinion, the team to beat is the Dallas Cowboys. T.O is gone and Romo doesn't have to put up with him always wanting the ball. In addition, Jason Garrett will be able to design plays that are best for the team and not what's best for T.O. Finally, the Cowboys have a solid ground game and a ferocious pass rush. It's now or never for Wade Phillips and the Cowboys.

Yeah. Predicting in July is a risky proposition. Then again, predicting the SB teams in December can have its moments as well. For now, I'm gonna stick by my original prediction of the Giants. This is a team with a chip on its shoulder (wants to show that SB XLII wasn't a fluke) and a lot of talent on the field, on the sidelines and in the front office.

Easily the falcons. Ryan is a year more experienced. The receivers are the same. O-Line and D-Line got better. So did the secondary

Screw the Giants - may Eli lead the league in interceptions. My vote goes to the Packers. I'd like to see the Pats get a second chance at the Packers in a Super Bowl.

I went with the Giants but I think a team not on the list could be a real contender if things work out right and that is the Bears. It might take a year for Cutler and his teamates to get on the same page but if they gel quickly than they would be my NFC Favorite. Solid De even if it isnt what it was a few years ago and Forte IMO means that if Cutler and his WR can get things going than they could be in the SB to lose to us of course.

I think Atlanta could be pretty good but they have a harder schedule than last year, White is holding out and Harry Douglas is done for the year...
