5 QUESTIONS FOR... RODNEY HARRISON - New York Post

I can't quite put my finger on it but I'm really warming to Rodney as a sports commentator.

I know he was a smart defensive coordinator, but I don't know how smart of a head coach he is to call out the Patriots, especially with Tom Brady being back and all the offseason additions they made.

I love his approach. It's so straightforward and common sense. I'll be very interested to follow the story when he finally says something that offends the Network brass (and I'm pretty sure he will) and they ask him to tone it down. I'd pay to watch that showdown!

And, Wrecks has already been called out by some members of the NY media for baiting the Pats, most notably Gary Myers of the Daily News, who said almost exactly what Rodney said to the Post.

Yeah . . . I believe that this was referred to as "poking the bear" not too long ago. :)

this was his best answer

Q: What are your thoughts on the way Brett Favre has handled his un- retirements the past two offseasons?

A: I don't care what the guy does. Every year he comes back I think it tarnishes his image and everything he's accomplished, because it is a joke.

OMFG, Rodney. That's awesome. You gotta love the way the guy just spills his thoughts unedited. He's gonna be as fun to see as an analyst as he was to see drilling receivers on Sundays. OK, maybe not so much, but he'll still be better than 90% of the guys on TV now.

Short, but not bad takes at all. He's got some potential to bring to some unique thoughts to the table as an analyst/commentator.

Yah, I'm sure Rodney will be a 'hard hiting' commentator. Heh.

He's honest and doesn't sugar coat the truth to make people feel better about getting trashed...something that is lacking in many, many commentators.

He's going to offend people but he's going to offend them with the truth. He backs up what he says with confidence and understanding analysis, something that is lacking in too many others. I doubt he does get "put in his place", if it happens it will be for something that gets him fired- something so terrible and so offensive that they have no choice but to fire him for. I don't believe he's capable of ever getting to that level though.

ONCE AGAIN, the headline was much more strident than the actualy comment. When is the public going to catch on. By now its probably being reported in NY that Rodney called out Ryan, and demanded a fight.

What? Five Questions for Rodney Harrison? That's as innocuous a title as I've ever seen.

I would not put it past the New York Paper to go back and edit the headline.

What I'm seeing is 5 questions for Rodney Harrison. I would not be amazed if it was, "5 questions for Rodney Harrison: Belichick drinks Unicorn Blood":D

Rex Ryan is Fat.
He's mad because he needs a Adjunctive Suprapubic
Lipectomy.
He needs a good run...it would help his temperament and blood pressure.

Ryans just trying to make a statement to show he's not intimidated coming into the division. He'll either back that up or just be another bag of air......and thats a big bag of air. Guess we'll see wont we....

You got to love when somebody tells it like it is, even if your on the recieving end you just gotta admire it. Just wish the man was 5 years younger and not retired.

I'm pretty sure he is most talented broadcaster at NBC right now...
