Interesting stuff here - seeing what is going on there, I have no complaints about how I as a NEP season ticket holder is being treated. Even the Giants still have 10% of their seats unsold, hence this price drop. I imagine the Jets are doing much worse.

Dear Giants Waitlist Member,
As we prepare for the 2009 season, our final year in Giants Stadium, and with construction of the new state-of-the-art stadium over seventy-percent completed, these are exciting times for Giants fans. The new stadium will provide Giants players, coaches and, most importantly, Giants fans with the first-class amenities they deserve.

The stadium has been designed to provide fans with an unparalleled experience on Giants game days: upscale concessions; enhanced tailgate zones; club seats with beautiful club spaces; high definition scoreboards, redesigned roads and parking lots, new rail links and much more.

At a cost of more than $1.6 billion, the new stadium development is the largest 100 percent privately financed stadium project in the United States. As with other NFL cities that have recently built new stadiums, we cannot build this new facility without the sale of Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs). The net proceeds from the sale of the PSLs are used to pay for the construction of the new stadium.

Once you purchase a PSL, you will control your seat for as long as the Giants continue to play in the new stadium. This means that, in addition to having the continuing right to purchase the same season tickets from year to year, you will also have the ability to transfer your PSL to other Giants fans, including unrelated third parties.

We have attempted to convey from the beginning of the PSL sales process that great thought and care has been given to the pricing of the PSLs and tickets in our new home. Our approach of offering 10 different price points has resulted in nearly 90 percent of our current season ticket accounts purchasing PSLs in the new stadium.

As of this date, all Terrace and Mezzanine seats, as well as approximately 60 percent of the field level seats, have been installed. We now have the opportunity to review our pricing based on real seat locations/views. After literally sitting in many of the seats, we have decided to reduce the ticket price of the outer two sections in all four Mezzanine Club B corner areas from $400 to $250 per game. The PSL price for these seats will remain $7,500 and they will have access to the club areas. A total of 1,570 seats, which is roughly 40 percent of the remaining available seats in the new building (but only 1.9% of the total stadium’s seating capacity) are impacted by this decision and will form the new Mezzanine Club C.

The rationale for this decision is that the price break in the Mezzanine level will now correspond with the price break between Field 2 and Field 3, which is directly below the new Mezzanine Club C section. After having an opportunity to sit in those seats, we feel strongly that we should create a different price point.

As a reminder, the approximately 70,000 non-club seats have been sold out in the new stadium. The only seats available in the new stadium are the new Mezzanine Club C and the limited inventories in Mezzanine Club A & B as well as the Coaches Club. Please note that the ticket prices in our club sections will remain the same for at least the first three seasons in the new stadium.

As waitlist members, we hope you take advantage of this opportunity to experience Giants Football in one of our new clubs. To purchase the new Mezzanine Club C Seats or any of the other Club Seats contact a Giants Select sales representative at 1-877-NYG-2010 (1-877-694-2010). We appreciate your consideration and support of the team.

Sincerely,
John Mara

for comparison what do the Club seats go for in Foxboro?

I just wish I had enough money to even CONSIDER buying tickets. These days, attending a game at Gillette is as much a dream as flying to the moon..

Heck, I'm happy to be able to pay my cable bill and have enough left over for a couple beers on gameday.

But I'm not complaining, per se. I can pay my bills and put food on the table. These days, that's saying something. :)

$550 I think....but, check out the location of these Mezz - "club seats" they equate to third level corners at Gillette.

either you or off or I am but I just looked at the seating chart and seat viewer and those are 2nd level and endzone sideline more than corner.

In fairness, the stadium is bigger. However, the pats could fill the Razor 5 times over with their wait list members (exaggeration).

I thought they were moving into the new stadium this year already.
