The beauty of this Pats team is that Maroney doesn't have to shoulder anything. In fact, the Pats have 4 backs that are capable of getting the job done. This year's ground game is going to be one of the best in the NFL.

I'm inclined to think so, in fact I'd lean towards using Maroney on KR duty again and keeping the load spread amongst the RBs to keep fresh legs for the playoffs.

I'm probably going to be in the minority on this, but I want Maroney to get the opportunity to shoulder a complete "#1 running back" workload. The team needs to give him a full season, complete with pass catching and blocking responsibilities. If not, why did they bother using a first round pick on the guy?

*Caution, anti-play calling alert!*

While they are at it, they need to use the guy in enough different ways that the opposing teams can't just load up on the poor bastard.

That part I can get behind.

:confused:Maroney is da*n good boys, this year he will definitely surprise you haters, ill tell u who needs to step up most...the entire offensive line, including mankins! not one of them is consistent..jonathon wilhite=brutal!!! gary guyton is already way better than bruschi and mike wright was atrocious playing the 0 or 1 technique on running downs...he fits as a 3 technique better imo for pass rush downs...also levoir or sebastian need to start for kaczur immediately, i dont know y anyone even says hes decent...

Soon after the season stars it will be obvious that Maroney IS the #1 runningback.

I have a feeling that most of you people that are talking crap about Maroney are the same people that said Cassel should have been cut last preseason. No ability to see beyond the tip of your nose.

lol nashville kid, obviously hasnt watched all the games very closely and noticed our weaknesses...:D

lil billy, ive watched the majority of the games over and over again on dvr, i not just makin this up....obviously--this recent draft just proves my thoughts on this...we draft a nt, cb, couple olineman...hmmm

wilhite huge problem, mike wright and lekevin need to step up, whole oline, and the other obvious problem is a pass rush...warren and seymour are great..our pass rush cant be any worse than last year

qb improved thru brady
rb healed and stacked.. another good year
wr..exceptionally
te...improved
oline...scary, but hopefully can last and take us to superbowl
dline...best in league
lbs..inside good, outside cant be worse than last year
secondary...by far most improved
special teams..gotta b decent

locked and loaded boys, we r goin to the superbowl and guna beat either the saints or giants in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW. You've watched the games over, and over again? Whats it like man? You must have some serious insight on the Pats, if you've watched the games over, and over, and over again. Im going to go now, because it's obvious you're an expert on the Pats' weaknesses. I think i'll go watch all the games, so then i'll understand what you're talking about :youtheman:

that would be wise of you, because ur obviously lacking knowledge for sumthin u care so much about...i like how ppl always resort to sarcasm when they r speechless or cant prove in words what they want too.. nice try:D

Sounds a pity NE re-signed Mike Wright. Hard to believe BB and Coach Scar have let the shortest tenured linemen start for four years.

box i respect u but go watch the seattle seahawks game on dvr and keep rewinding it and tell me mike wright and lekevin didnt keep mauled up front...wright was on the ground half the time...i like mike in the right situation bc of experience and knowledge and fair versatility but nuthin more than an average backup in my eyes, which is what he is obviously

One bad game doesn't answer, Mike is a pretty solid 0-tech reserve, he did seem to struggle more covering 5-tech for Warren last season, though he's played well enough there in the past...something to watch going forward with Brace onboard.

Maroney was a mistake and he cant get healthy enough to be a part time runner much less the main man.

I'm lacking knowledge??? Maybe you should read your post again ;)
