I certainly hope Galloway fully recovers and shows us that he can still play in this league. If Galloway can still play, it's going to be a nightmare for opposing defenses. In fact, Galloway is just two year removed from having a 1,000 yard season at the age of 35. In addition, Galloway is going to get opposing teams 3rd CB to guard him, which will probably be a young player. Like I said before, if Galloway can still play, he's going to school almost every DB he faces because he won't be lining up against the opposing teams best DB. Lastly, Greg Lewis should be a pretty decent #4 if he beats out Aiken.

Galloway still has great wheels -- at least, he had great wheels in spring practices. I honestly think people will be surprised at how fast he is.

I loved the Galloway and Taylor signings, and I pimped them at the start of the offseason. I wanted Jason Taylor and Derrick Brooks, too, so I'm batting .500 on the veteran binkies. If Galloway, Moss, Watson and Welker can stay healthy, and Maroney can run the way he did at the end of 2007 with Morris and Taylor to spell him, this team could be putting teams away in the first half again.

I do have a question for you, though. Is Lewis really a step up from the #4 receivers that this team has had for the past several seasons, and couldn't the team have done just as well on the free agent market without giving up a draft pick?

moss, welker, galloway, aiken, lewis, tate, slater or edelman

aiken is alot better than given credit for...definitely ahead of lewis

sorry to u edelman lovers but i think hes def practice squad or gettin cut

Not for a salary of $650K, and given how many draft picks they had, I approve of them "dumping" one in a trade.

I dunno, but I have this feeling that if the Pats try to sneak him onto the PS, he's going to be catching passes from Cassel a week or two later.

Lewis had two stellar games against the Pats in SB39 and in 2007.

BB never forgets when an opposing player repeatedly hurts his team.

They could keep 6 WRs if they only have 2 QBs on the roster.

I'm assuming Tate will get PUP.

I'm not so sure. Yeah the kid is talented and seems to have a good head on his shoulders - but the next snap he sees at WR will be his first. The transition hasn't been easy for even the most talented of athletes (Matt Jones, Randle-El), and Edelman was drafted much later and spent his whole career playing against inferior competition. Give this guy a little extra to keep him happy and that year on the PS could do him wonders.

I really love our offense on paper, it actually looks better than the 07 squad. But come on, this team gets injured like no other team out there---we were so blessed in 07 because no one fumbled and no one got injured! That was an UNREAL experience to see as a fan. You can only dream that this team maintains the same HEALTH that they did in 07. The odds aren't too good to see Sammy Morris, Maroney, Watson, Adalius Thomas, and Galloway to play full seasons. Plus we are starting to take for granted that Moss and Welker are gonna play full seasons too. They haven't missed a gm in 2 yrs, hopefully they continue to stay injury free--but it's incredibly tough to play 3 yrs straight with no gms missed with the beatings they take at the WR position. I hope the RBs do their thang more so this year so Moss and Welker aren't taking so many hits.
