What kind of flyover can we be expecting at the first home game?

B2? F16? Blackhawk?

I remember one year the B2 flew over. God that thing was amazing!

first a b-2
then 9 f-22s
then 5 blackhawks will circle the stadium as ozzie plays crazy trian, they will then hover over the field and the pats will fastrope in.
as another b-2 flys over

ok on a realistic note tho, v-22s would be awesome

Always seems like such a waste of money to me. Kraft should should fly over the stadium in his helicopter and wave to everyone.

Yeah, I generally don't get the fly over thing. OK, maybe at a Super Bowl or First Game of the World Series, which are games with national interest. But otherwise, it's expensive to put those planes in the air and, even though it's a routine event, there is an element, however small, of risk to the pilots and those on the ground.

How about Kraft in a hot air balloon or Kraft gliding in on a parachute?;)

My "favorite" is when they have a flyover over a domed stadium!

I live about 5 miles as the crow flies from the stadium and the holding pattern for the flight has been over my house. It is truly amazing to see, hear and FEEL the power from those planes.

The opener is a night game, so it would probably have to be something all lit up.

Yeah, yeah! Like maybe they're gonna try to land on the dome. As my kids would say, "Cool, Dad."

how about Kraft drops in on the 'chute surrounded by the cheerleaders arriving in a couple of balloons.

how does a B2 look like? Post a pic someone!

I was at opening day in the Meadowlands in 2007 and they had 4 F-15s flyover. It freaked a lot of people out, either not expecting it or still spooked from the memories of 9/11. They had them probably every year but unless you consciously think ("oh it's time for the flyover") and then you suddenly hear the roar, it can be unsettling considering where it was..........

How comical would that be. Everyone else has big bad military machines, roaring through the skies and patriotic adrenaline is racing. Meanwhile in Foxborough we get Bob circling in his chopper waving.

Excellent idea Mr Jew.

The B2 fly-over was the best one I ever saw live. I knew they were going to do it, and up in my usual section 313 seats I always know to look North when the National Anthem starts. The B2 was was flying in a circle and looked like something out of a Batman movie, then it started coming towards the stadium (and was very quiet) and when it went over you felt like you could reach out and touch it (since it was so much bigger than the usual planes that fly by it seemed huge!). If I remember correctly the date was Sept. 11th and after it went past the stadium the planes bank to the NW a bit and usually fly over my home town of Millis, I was talking to people about it later and a few were freaked out because they didn't know about the flyover and with the date being 9/11.

With the game being a night game, there probably will not be a fly over. The FAA tries to limit fly overs after dark and only allow them on a case by case basis.

Remember when they opened up aganst the Colts a while ago when they had Edgerin James? Was their a flyover then?

Since its at night, i wont be a jet, it will eaither be a blackhawk of nothing..jets are too fast to see at night.

Ozzy Osborne ... something with Ozzy would be cool.
