PFT: Favre has already signed contract with Vikings

PFT has a question mark after it - your subject doesn't.

I hope he returns, it's a better league with Favre than the two scmucks who are competing for the job at present.

So which would be better?

a) Brett Favre falling on his face, breaking the all time fumble record, get booed in Greenbay and look like a total fool.

--- OR ----

b) Brett Favre winning the CPOY, while Sanchez simulaniously leads the league in Ints with 30 Ints. Making two years in row that their ex-QB wins CPOY.

Don't forget that Cutler's in Chicago, so that adds spice to the whole thing, since Favre winning means Cutler losing. Toss in all the other fun storylines and it could be a very fun season for QB watching.

As a Pats fan, B is by far the more entertaining possibility

I like option B, and living in Colorado I like the idea of Cutler losing in Chicago as well:D

I'll take B but I think CPOY will go to Tom Brady.

Even before his move to the Jets, I had no use for him and his drama. He is the Britney Spears of the NFL... I just hope he's wearing underwear when he hits the ground this season.

Hope he throws 3 times more picks than TDs. Yes, I am a petty man. I am openly hoping for his failure. Thank god the American dish is down - not sure how many more Favre-watch updates I can stomach on the network we should not refer to by name.

Well there goes the Vikings SB aspirations....

I used to like Brett Farve and all his antics, especially from abroad. Seemed a larger than life character, happy to throw the ridiculous ball, no matter how low the percentage. Now I realise it's all about Brett Farve and nothing about the team.

He talks about leaving it all on the table and retiring for good. Now I think it's all about him and nothing else.

It took you this long to figure it out? :) ;)

Yawn.

At this point I can understand the logic of Favre's decision.

He's already turned himself into the punch line of a Football Joke. If he tries and fails he's still a joke. But if he wins he has some shot at Football Redemption.

So what's he got to lose?

Just that little almost indestructible spot in the hearts and lore of generations of Cheese Heads he apparently never really gave a rats ass about...

I thought he pretty much already destroyed that with most of them aready. In hindsight I would think most of them know he hung on too long with the Packers and the other half are already pissed at his 2 year flirtation with the Vikings.

I question how much respect he would have in Green Bay if he retired tomorrow instead of accepting a contract with the Vikings.

The hatred will be more intense to be sure but I think he already ruined his standing with those fans.

If he wins with the Vikes some fans might even revisit the good sense of having the front office push him out the door.

If I hear Brett Favre's name again, it'll be too soon.

Wake me up when it's over.

God no. Haven't for some years. But when your NFL exposure is predominately online and through chat boards or foreign news services, the finer tid bits of information tend to go missing.

I do enjoy watching him throw interceptions, probably more than anyone else.

I used to enjoy watching him toss picks but his last game ruined even that for me. Like watching a freight train lumber inevitably towards destruction on broken rails ahead, watching his game losing performance was excruciating. You KNEW that he'd find a way to kill a drive and make the game crushing mistakes but you just had to watch as the Pats playoff chances went down the hopper. Now, watching him toss picks as a Vike will always remind me of that game. Bastid!
