... will hopefully soon be sealed.

Hotel has a view by Mark Farinella of The Attleboro Sun Chronicle

"Kraft joked that Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick was not a fan of Patriot Place, believing it might create distractions for his football players. When the coach saw the first drawings of the planned hotel overlooking the Patriots' practice field, he said, Belichick became alarmed.

"Kraft said Belichick was concerned guests in upper floor rooms might be able to see his team running plays. He said the coach was assured the Patriots would make the necessary adjustments."

Jonathan's last remark on the subject was, "We'll take care of it."

Ever the investigative journalist, I decided to see if this was just a case of Jonathan making happy talk, or if there really was a possibility that Bill Belichick, super-secretive control freak that he is, could have rival coaches training high-powered video cameras upon his practice fields from fifth-floor rooms at the Renaissance - sort of a "Spygate" in reverse.

And you know what? Indeed they could, unless the Patriots' plans to counter this potential espionage are effective.

That just shows what a ******* boss Belichick is. Always ahead of the game.

An addendum to the privacy screen at the Pats' practice field:
Patriots to throw screen at fans

As explained by Patriots' VP-Media Relations Stacey James, the team will erect tall poles the length of the practice fields as they can be seen from the Renaissance, in approximately the same location as a lower fence that is now covered with green mesh to obscure the view from ground level.

When the Patriots practice, Belichick's minions will hoist large, opaque screens to the top of those poles, thus obscuring the view from the hotel. When practice is finished, the screens will be lowered. To visualize this, I have two examples.

Mechanically, the process will be the same as when a team lines up to attempt a field goal or extra point inside Gillette Stadium. A large net is raised to prevent the football from sailing into the stands. Visually, I'd like for you to think back to 2002, when the stadium first opened. The team draped large banners from the top of the ramps leading to the upper deck to ground level, upon which were emblazoned mammoth reproductions of action photos depicting great players of the Patriots' past.

Oh God, when BB retires he should just step in for Panetta. (Also, cue "it takes on to know one" spygate trolls.)

BB knows the deal and he said as much during Spygate. He's been camera-ized by an opposing team on more than one occasion but all those stories got buried under the "Belicheat" tsunami.

BB not only thinks of every angle but he also understands what really goes on in this league.

LOL it is pretty wild though; nice move by BB! But what will we do about drones:D
