Yes, no, and why.

It's probably been done before, but this is a topic that is always fun to discuss. :disagreement:

Nope. Not nearly sufficient evidence.

I lost faith in God and humanity 100000000 years ago.

Interesting that out of the five people who voted yes no one has actually explained why.

Because theres no possible explanation other than "faith", which is pretty synonymous to "indoctrination"

I can't vote. I'm not blowing the here after on a technicality. Actually I have more belief in a Zero Point Field than a God per se.

And there was me thinking the evidence was overwhelming.:singing:

Ig God exists he is a sadistic mofo ... loves suffering, death, brutality, hate ... all the rest.

Also porn ... God must love porn it is one constant across the globe.

We don't need God but He needs us to pay the church bills.

Why believe in something that not only requires blind faith but also forces you to make sacrificies on your freedom to make decisions based on what you want to do?

I voted yes, because my understanding is that if I say "yes" you'll try to shoot me but the gun will jam and you'll still shoot everyone in the cafeteria. Something like that.

But seriously.

I'm a "yes," by choice. I do choose to believe, and I am aware it is absolutely possible to live in a world without that belief, if one chooses to. Neither do I think that belief is punished or rewarded.

As to my reasons, they are subjective, so it's rather insulting to attempt to foist them on others.

I cannot objectively prove a subjective phenomenon; but since the reverse is ultimately also true, if I'm feeling particularly solipsistic, I'll just wonder why the hell I allow figments like yourselves to annoy me so much, or why I would have created the annoyance of work, for that matter.

:D

What's wrong with indoctrination?
Our schools have been doing it...my whole life, anyways.

Agreed. Science says/dictates that there has to be a catalyst for everything. Except when it tries to explain the origins of the Universe they get to the "egg" thing and than it abandons the principle and says well this egg here holds all the matter/energy in the Universe and so it explodes and creates the Universe. Now how'd that egg get there? Answer: It just was.

Maybe they've come up with something different.
If anybody else can explain it in more clear terms, I'm all ears.

This is all the work of humanity. Not God.

Because if we don't then we will be prone to overindulge our pleasure centers which will cause ill health. Mental and physical. We end up living
a short unhappy life.
Treat your body well and your body will treat you well.
Think about the future your behavior will take you.
That may take sacrifice. Sorry.

The best reply so far.
You sound a bit agnostic...like me.
I knew there was something about you that I liked.

But you still come nowhere close to providing any hard evidence pointing the the existance of God.
