Tom and Randy, make up routes on the fly?

I don't know if it's "Make up routes on the fly" so much as "Read the same thing at the same time and act accordingly".

Like if, immediately after the play starts, the saftey takes a step forward, Moss and Brady might decide to change his route from an in to a go.

Man, I'm really gonna ENJOY seeing Brady to Moss again in 2009. These two great players establishing a special rapport together is fantastic news for us Pats fans and bad news for the rest of the league's defenses. :)

All the routes have options, that's why some receivers wash out. With someone as talented and athletic as Moss, they probably work on some extra keys so Randy can fly if he sees something. Probably the only one that will signal to Brady during a route too.

It's almost not fair when you realize those guys have only had one season together.

I'm so excited I just can't wait..................................................come on mid-July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing there to fill the off-season void... except the Red Sox!!! Ga-wahn lads!

Blader.

That's why I live by the beach and several liquor stores. ;) I'm still young so the summer around here takes off the sting of the NBA postseason ending and dead part of the NFL offseason.

......but but randy doesnt work hard. Only if he had rice or t.o work ethic. Am actually sad for the chap. What an unfulfilled career so far

Hahaha

It's actually not too bad for me... it's just I'm quite tense right now because of national high school exams (A-Levels) which end in 7 days time so it's a lot of tension, excitement and tiredness all rolled together... the Pats news and watching the Red Sox are one of the few things I have left during this time that I can rely to make my unwind... oh and scrubs... and cricket...........arrrggghhh the summer is only 7 days away!

Hey guys ... based on the OTAs and minicamp practices that I saw, I don't believe that they make up routes on the fly, but I do believe that they have an unspoken level of communication between them. If they approach the line of scrimmage and they see something in the defense, one will simply look at the other, exchange some sort of signal -- a touch to the head, a nod -- and VOILA, things are changed. They were working a lot together this week, just the two of them, and it was really amazing to watch. I said on an early thread I was trying to imagine some sort of pop culture analogy, and the closest I got was watching/listening to Hendrix and Clapton talk about playing the guitar.

Hopefully Brady and Moss have a record setting season!! That would be great :D

As much as I've tried to temper any thoughts of the 2007 season accomplishments, it's hard not to believe that this offense can reach amazing heights. It's hard not to think that Brady and the rest of the offense won't be hungry to prove something after Brady's long absence. Also, I know Galloway is oft injured, but I can't help but imagine how ridiculous he could be on the outside considering that just a few months ago he was clocked around the 4.3 mark at such an old age. It seemed like every time I read something about the OTA's, Greg Lewis was in reported to be making big plays. I don't know. Preseason hasn't even come yet and I'm already giddy.

Anyway, I'm going to again suppress the thought of any records being broken or any 16-0 thoughts. I just want a SB to bring the decade to its appropriate and satisfying end.

I agree!! I dont think we will go 16-0 at best maybe 14-2. I want our 4th title this decade :D

On a side note how much better is Wheatley going to get covering Moss in practice ...

it certainly is great experience for the youngster.
I wonder how he does?

Both Brady and Deion Branch claimed that to be the case when they played together.

Sure looked like it, and with Troy to a lesser extent as well. I will probably get killed for this but I think Brady was more in tune (attuned?) with Branch than any other WR. I think Brady and Moss are more effective due to Moss's superior ability.

Yeah I agree, its called hard work and dedication from two gifted players.
