Hey everyone ... here's the report from minicamp today. Some good stuff -- Randy Moss sounds happy, an eventful day for the defensive backs and a good session for Ben Watson.

It Is What It Is Report from Thursday’s minicamp

Don't be afraid to let me know what you think.

Muy interesante. I'm looking forward to hearing more about Crable in later articles. Also, it's encouraging to hear that Greg Lewis is making plays in each of the articles I've read in the past two weeks.

FWIW, Brady is still calling Moss “Randolph.” Not sure what that’s about.

Aww, that's so cute.

I want to hear more about this notebook Springs has on opposing receivers :D

You'll get it in a few hours ... writing up that story now.

Is Edelman this year's media binkie?? We have two respected media members in Mr. Price and Mr. Reiss (funny that they rhyme) who both like what they see from Mr. Edelman.

Great job Chris...I wondered about Richardson?? Was he ON the field or not?? Also seem like Morris was playing today not yesterday..which is good news. Alas..Pass is gone..one last hurrah!!
Am interested in special teams..non returners..as THAT might be a real key to who stays and who goes at the lower part of the roster. Edelman seems like a keeper...no?? Great JOB!!

Is it just me or does the pic of Moss playing catch look really wierd...

Poor bastid...remember what happened to the last one. Although interestingly he is again #3 heading into TC...

Versatility is one thing Bill admires, but you have to be able to play at leat one position at NFL speed to merit a roster spot. It will come down to his ability to perform as a ST'er and backup WR. But he is a dead lock for the practice squad at least because from there he can do what he did for them today, give them looks...

I like the fact that Randolph has taken a shine to Vince. Perhaps telling him horror stories about the time he shot his way out of a town that loved him over $$$ in his me-centric youth...and landed in a black hole where the only thing less fun than the practices were the actual games.

I was just about to post the same thing. It's a really funny shot. A little double jointed in the shoulder plus the dude is skinny...

he looks kinda like a whacky-armed inflatable flailing tube man.

Also, just a minor point, but in the third bullet you call Wilfork an offensive lineman. Great stuff though!

yea, BB's doing? lol, thats twice now that randy has been mentioned spending time with Wilfork....

as for the dead lock on edelman making PS, he would have to pass through waivers....which may not happen

Thank for the kind words. Let me address a few points....

1) That's my bad on Wilfork/Moss -- I didn't make it clear enough. After talking with Wilfork, Moss was teasing the offensive linemen -- Moss was running through a drill right next to theirs.

2) Edelman is fast becoming a media binky, but I think it's legit: He can do a lot of things. I don't think anyone will have him on a Pro Bowl roster at the end of the season, but I think his play thus far will cause the Patriots to try and find a way to keep him around. I think it'll be interesting if he can make the final 53-man roster, or, barring that, somehow get through to the practice squad. Could mean some creative roster shuffling.

3) No Mike Richardson today, although Sammy Morris was there. And the speed in which they released Patrick Pass was truly amazing. Not sure what happened there.

Oh, and the story on Shawn Springs and his notebook is up. I'll also start a thread on it in case people can't find it here.

That definitely caught my attention as well, ALP. I wonder what it really means. Is Moss really trying to convince big Vince to stay or what? Are they just really good friends either way? I really wish I had some inside info on their relationship.
