Hey all ... here's the transcript from today's Q&A with Belichick. He has a rather diplomatic response for Rex Ryan -- it should be made clear that he gave a small chortle before he answered the question about Ryan.

It Is What It Is Bill Belichick Q&A, 6/10

Q: Considering his recent comments, how fun is it having Rex Ryan in the division now?
BB: I have a lot of respect for Rex. What he did in Baltimore – the defense his team has played. We’ve always had great battles with the Jets, so I’m sure that will continue. It’s a good rivalry. They beat us up here last year. They kind of got the last punch in on that one, so we will have to…It’s a new year. Right now we are more focused on Buffalo than any other team in the division because we open with them, but we know we are going to have to deal with Miami and the Jets as well and we have a lot of respect for all those teams.

Q: Has there been more talking this year than normal? You look at Rex Ryan and the Miami Dolphins players talking about their routine.
BB: Oh, I don’t know. Right now I’m just trying to coach our team and get our guys ready to have a good week of practice and get them ready for training camp. That’s really what we’re up for is getting our team ready and when it’s time to play we will show up to play.

I love Bill. :D

Focused on Buffalo eh? Be afraid Bill, be very afraid. Oh, don't forget to Getcha popcorn ready!

Honestly, did we expect any other answer from BB? :D

That's 100% exactly what I expected him to say.

Couldn't give a better answer IMO, no use stirring the pot, etc.

Respect for your enemies and all that stuff--but no doubt, he's noticing what's being said. No doubt he'll remember it too come game day.

Best response possible from BB...didn't give anything and yet made his message clear

So who's throwing these TD's to Owens anyway? ;)

Fixed it for you....watch those typos.

I guess we can forget about winning the off-season OTA smack down award!

Bill Belichick is 16-2 against the Bills since coming to NE. I don't think he's very afraid at all.

I don't think anyone in the division is afraid...there's a reason they've been called doormats

I really wish he'd have amended Ryan's statement to: Not Here to Kiss the Ring(s)

(What I'd like to have heard BB say...)

I'd like to take time out to congratulate Rex on assuming the position, of HC of the NYJ.

You may recall, I was once the Jets Head coach, we both have won the same number of games in the position and accomphished just as much.

BB sucks at trash talking, He could take lessons from Crowder and Ryan.

Pats losing the offseason trash talking SB.

BB does sort of well at other things...X's and O's, finding the right players to fit in here, winning the actual Super Bowl.

None of that stuff really matters next to a good smack talk soundbite, though. ;)
