Red Sox now 6-0 vs Yankees ... we've won the last 5 games vs Yankees at Fenway.
Josh Beckett is in a zone, Lester is in a zone ... the bullpen is looking great including Josh Bard.

Season has a long way to go ... we still have SS and ortiz problems though Ortiz is looking better and better lately. not sure if he will get it all back but if he gets to 75% of his old self that will be just fine.

Okay ... have at it ... fill in what I missed. This is a very good team in a league that doesn't really have any great teams.

Beckett, now (7-2) in his last 7 starts is 5-0, 1.71 era with a .181 OBP. :):):)

These teams have switched roles; the Yankees have become the Red Sox of the 70's, all hitting, decent starters, putrid bullpen, while the Red Sox have become the Yankees of the mid to late 90's, clutch hitting, very good staff, lights out bullpen.

This division is far from over, Red Sox and Yankees will battle all season long with the usual result, one will win the division, one will win the wild card, they will meet in the ALCS, winner take all.

Horse face and Aroid are a deadly 3/4 combination, Jeter looks like the Jeter of old and Damon is the new Bronx Bomber.

Their pitching, specifically their bullpen along with a 39 year old closer (the guy has been money for so many years, lights out money, but for how much longer can he continue to be) could do them in, we'll see.

Don't put too much stock in the whole 6-0 thing, but it is nice to see, don't get me wrong.........

Johnny Damon = intelligent Manny Ramirez. ;)

...equal to an intelligent Ramirez but without the power, the arm strength, the charisma, the loyal following...but otherwise like him :D;)

...shortstop problem looks like it might be turning around in a couple of weeks, Lowrie was throwing the ball around up in Toronto so he won't be too far off from rehab starts.

...Like Lowrie solves the SS problem? Har-har!

So I figure I'll check the top prospects list ... not just the Red Sox but the top 100 from all the organizations. Sure, not a solution for this year but still a solution. There are not really any worth trading for. Not for our good young arms anyways.

Up until he got hurt anyways ... our own kid looks pretty good but a few years away. So perhaps it's best to stick with Lowrie for now is my point. Navarro is in 'A' ball right now.

Yamaico Navarro | SoxProspects.com

Scouting Report: Not initially signed as a big name, Navarro has thoroughly impressed the Sox brass during his rise through the organization. He has an athletic build for a shortstop, with a little bit of bulk. At the plate, he makes good contact and generates good loft off his bat, resulting in a lot of liners. Quick wrists, nice bat speed. Hits fastballs better than breaking balls. A little too aggressive at the plate, could stand to take some more pitches. Average speed and good power for a middle infielder. In the field, he plays 2B, 3B, and SS more than adequately, with a sure glove and an average to above average arm, but he still needs to improve his footwork. He also has had some problems with fluidly executing double plays, but that seems to be improving. Regardless, he's always entertaining to watch, and turns a lot of big league gems with his glove. He has an Ozzie Smith-like electricity in the field.

Can't wait for 8-0 TOMORROW.

I will laugh my ars off if Yankees ranks second after Sox and can't make it to championship.

A NY brand new stadium + 1 Billion dollar contracts = BUSTED.

7-0. They are gripping right about now. Our payroll may be outrageous compared to some teams and I can understand the sentiment. But how embarrassing to have 100 million+ more than the 2nd highest and consistently play bridesmaid for the last decade?

I'd like a repeat of the 1912 Sox thanks!
