Just bought some tickets for the opener in one of the family sections...how tough is it to sneak alcohol in and mix? Im not worried about the security...more so about the ratting families....Anybody?

IDK, but it seems to me that if the people there want to be away from alcohol, that should be respected.

If you really wanted to, I'm sure it'd be pretty easy (just don't mix your drink in your seat, easy enough), but if you want to drink you should really get tickets somewhere else. If not to respect the wishes of people who bought tickets there, then at least because being the only drunk guy in the section wouldn't be nearly as much fun as being in a section full of drunks.

That makes sense wishing to drink and getting tickets in a FAMILY section....not smart.

Makes me long for a tall glass of Capt 'n Rhum...

You could leave your seat, chug a beer or two then come back. There is halftime as well, which would give you time. If you got kids with you, that might mean bathroom break time though...

Grow up and realize it is possible to enjoy a game without drinking every second of the day.

I love beer but I don't drink at concerts or any events that costs me $100 before I even sit down. As a bonus, I actually see and remember the entire event too. :yeeha:

I have a borderline drinking problem and even I agree with that.

Your all set, recognizing your drinking problem means you really don't have one. Carry on!!

I have a full-blown drinking problem and I don't agree with that at all. if I'm watching sports, I'm drinking. Period. End of story.

You're clearly a more dedicated drinker than me. :D

OK, let me clarify. I might have a couple beers, but that's it. I'll save the rest for after the game. If I'm really nervous, like at a playoff game, I can't drink or I'll puke.

But back on topic, I wouldn't drink in the family section if people are sitting there because they want to avoid alcohol.

Thanks! I think I'll have a beer with lunch!

Just get yourself in the condition you want to be in prior to the start of the game while tailgaiting. Then if absolutely necessary excuse yourself when you see a play that is going to lead to a tv timeout, and head below for a beer.

If you can afford tickets to the game you can afford one or two beers.

If you want an answer to this question dont ask Belichick's youngest son :D

***hurk***

Not gonna lie, it's not good. It sets the tone for the day ahead very well though. Works well for birthdays, St. Patty's Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc.

Sat in the "family" section once, completely different experience than sitting with everyone else, did not feel as though I was at Gillette.. do not be surprised if someone calls security on you..

why do you want to sit there??

yeah, im sure the families who want to watch a game away from the drunks will love that. I wouldnt be surprised if some mom calls security on him. That's why i sit with the drunks. I can blend in better :D
