I haven't seen any reports on this, although said legs have been an on-and-off topic of discussion for over a year.

Did he manage to bulk them up in the offseason? Surely someone at OTAs has seen them by now.

Amusingly, I think I remember that the OTA attendees sad he's been wearing pants the whole time. I could be mis-remembering, but whatever. I really doubt that's what got him IR'd.

He also claimed to the media that he worked on his leg strength in the off-season. But supposedly no one has seen them bare yet. He'll be fine. McGinest had skinny legs too, if I recall correctly.

Resis in his piece said he looks like he has been working out all offseason and a little bigger. But not sure he is going to check is legs out. from the pure physical standpoint resis today said that compared to last year woods looks bigger and stronger.

I saw a glimpse of this huge player behind Bruschi in warmups. It was #98 and I thought it was a DL. It was Shawn Crable ... he looks huge in the video clip but it didn't show his legs.

No, but I heard he loves buffalo wings.

reportedly yes, his legs are bigger....but BB told him to wear sweats to hide em.....

This is actually a thread? Wow, it confirms that we are indeed in the most boring part of the off season.

I'm thinking that this thread will live on well into the season if Crable can break the starting lineup.

LMAO. As long as he continues to get stronger throughout his body, I don't care how thin or thick his legs are.

I am sure with all of the conditioning/training programs etc that his legs have bulked up considerably.

I don't think it'll be anything to even think twice about, to be honest. Lots of draftees have a problem/weakness of some sort, I think they probably addressed it pretty well if they felt it was going to be a problem.

I'm sure Crable will be fine, I remember two very solid Bills LB's of the mid 80's-early 90's Shane Conlan and Darryl Talley who were both referred to as "chicken legs," but managed to be pro-bowl performers and 100 tkl perfomers year-in and year-out.

Better prove it wasn't HGH or steroids before the commissioner starts up another inquiry and strips them of a first round pick! :D

Genetics are absolute...as long as his leg strength is NFL sufficient who gives a rat's arse WTF his calves look like...

I know we all want him to have thick legs against the run, but if he can get around the edge quickly on passing downs, I think we'll easily forgive him.

He's tall so he can have the same thickness legs and they will look thinner because they are longer.

But really, are sacks now awarded by measuring the pass rusher's legs or something? Aren't his speed and moves more important? Monty Beisel had thick legs, didn't he? And Colvin thin ones?

I think you guys are thinking way too much about this. I'm sure the Pats would not waste a 3rd pick by putting him on IR because his legs weren't big enough. His legs are fine.

You forgot the hamstrings.
