Favorite Rodney Harrison Moment???

Tommorow is gonna be a sad day for me.....Rodney Harrison is/was truly my favorite Patriot (despite of where he played before his Pats career)

So PatsFans, tell me, what was your favorite Rodney Harrison moment???

On the field my favorite moment was the preseason game against the Titans where Rodney introduced his shoulder to Vince Young's face


Off the field (and my absolute favorite) was when he was commented after the third superbowl win that he had more catches in that game then freddie mitchell did....priceless!

Obviously love the big hits and energy from Rodney every single game.

But I loved it when Rodney intercepted a McNabb pass in the Superbowl, only to have it removed due to a penalty, and then Rodney intercepted the very next play.

Sealing Super Bowl 39 with an interception is my favorite memory on the field. Every year Rodney was healthy the Pats went to the Super Bowl. Thanks for the memories, there will never be another Rodney Harrison that's for sure. Unless a safety goes down in November... stranger things have happened....

I just like how he owned Peyton manning for a couple years. Peyton must have had nightmares of Rodney jumping into his bedroom to intercept a pass.

Coverage, blitzing etc. he gave Peyton fits, as Law did.

My favorite moment is when he laid out Troy Brown at the first practice. That's when everyone knew, this guy means business.

One of my favorite Rodney moments came in the 2003 December home game against the Dolphins. It was sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter. Cold and miserable game right after a huge snowstorm. Patriots were clinging to a small lead. Dolphins had been shutout to that point, but were mounting their most promising drive of the day. Rodney came on a perfectly time safety blitz and absolutely drilled Fiedler. Ball came loose, Patriots recovered. I don't think the Dolphins ever threatened again for the rest of the game.

There was a Colts game (help someone) in recent years (maybe even 07) where Rodney was actually an extra LB used to harass their TE. The Pats had lost a few in a row to Indy after early success and Rodney was a key member in getting NE back on the board with a win.

Off the field, I think it says a great deal that he came in and replaced a key guy in the locker and was chosen a team captain right away. I don't put a lot of stock on the use of a captain among professionals, but in this case, it serves as an indicator of his peers' perception.

No matter, the more the merrier Rodney was awesome always but he read Ben like a child's book Wasn't that the game the Squealers had their bags already packed?

there are so many Rodney Harrison moments to choose from so its tough to decide. I loved all the moments mentioned in this thread. I have to go with my first favorite moment which occured in the 2003 AFCCG, a game in which the colts and pats were fighting for supremacy in the AFC. Early in that game we took a 7-0 lead on our first drive with a pass to Givens. As the snow fell, and the cold wind blew, the colts marched down the field for a response TD. On third and three from the 5 yard line, Peyton Manning dropped back for a pass to tie the game, it floated into the endzone as the snow flakes dropped and Rodney Harrison leaped off the frozen endzone turf to make an interception, no TD for Peyton Manning, set the tone for the game, we went on to win back to back SBs, :singing:

as a note i am kind of bummed one day was on the Globe website and saw that they had prints of Rodney's interception, didn't buy one as figured it was something that they would have for a while, i went back a few weeks later and there were no prints, perhaps i can get one on ebay. . .

My favorite Rodney moment was in the 2004 Divisional playoff vs the Colts. We were up 20-3 and the game was out of reach but the Colts still wanted to score on us late in the 4th.
Peyton gets the Colts down in our red zone and throws a ball to Marvin - Rodney smoothly slides over and picks the ball off in the end zone. What a great ending!

BTW- I think this is the game where Rodney used the word "replacements" as a rallying cry. I guess the media called the Pats secondary replacements after losing Ty Law midseason. I love Rodney!!!!!

[As stated in the other thread] Favourite moments - Ownage of Manning/Colts in 03/04. It doesn't get any better than sealing off a the 04 game with a Manning pick.

Off the field: I obviously don't know the guy but from what is reported, his leadership in the locker room. The example he sets to guys like Meriweather who seem to be becoming as vocal as #37, and emulating the big Safety.

If you go to Gridiron Authentics website they have autographed photos of the interception that you are talking about. I have the same one, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. I would have PM'ed you but I dont have enough posts.
