Tuesday's OTA reactions from Andy Hart, Patriots Football Weekly

  • Sebastian Vollmer getting reps at LT
  • Nick Caserio very involved on the field
  • A lot of time spent with the 3-receiver set of Moss, Welker & Galloway
  • Kevin Faulk, Welker and Galloway worked on punt returns
  • Vince Redd didn't get a lot of reps
  • Paris Lenon got a lot more reps than last week
  • Brandon McGowan got a lot of reps also
Secondary Upgrades from Paul Perillo, Patriots Football Weekly

Perillo takes a look at Leigh Bodden and Shawn Springs

OTA Observations from Shalise Manza Young, Providence Journal

  • During 7-on-7 drills, newly signed LB Paris Lenon had himself stationed right next to linebackers coach Matt Patricia as he continues to learn everything he can about the Pats' 3-4 defensive system, which is a far cry from the Tampa-2 he played in Detroit the last couple of years. I was among those who spoke to Lenon after practice, and he's a really nice guy with a great story. He'll be our main story for tomorrow's Journal, though it will be posted online later today

Also from PFW, regarding Brady:

  • One play that stood out from Brady came in group work in the red zone. The quarterback pulled the ball down to run but then pulled up and hit Moss crossing the back of the end zone for the score. I don’t want to make too much out of it, but I thought Brady looked far more comfortable on Tuesday.

For those that prefer the glass to be half-empty, the Boston Herald focuses on Vince Wilfork a no-show again and also mentions how Brady fell down once. Karen Guregian is of the opinion that although "Brady looked to be in a little better form than last week", she says "he still seemed a little stiff in his movements."

I don't trust any of those so-called "writers" at the Herald. The man is coming back from a major injury. Anyone who expects perfection is dillusional. It's June not August. I expect Brady to look like his old self the more he practices. In the meanwhile, I'll be patient and watch his progress.

And of course, Mike Reiss from the Boston Globe has some very good Observations from OTA as well.

  • Tom Brady on the run
  • Brady and Moss - 1 on 1 work
  • Punt returners have their hands full
  • O'Connell to DeVree connection in the end zone
  • Don't forget about Jonathan Wilhite at corner
